It's amazing what wild animals can overcome. Some years back, one of my wife's assistant principals told us about shooting a healthy whitetail buck who was running does. When he got up to he, he noticed something wrong with it. The buck was missing one front leg at the joint. Perfectly healed, and the buck was doing very well.
