Looking at adding a bipod for a Browing Hells Canyon 300 WSM. Don’t seem to know how to mount to the rifle so not exactly sure what to buy. Any ideas from the group?

The Hells Canyon comes with sling studs, use that or add another if you also want a sling. Harris is a very good bipod, you would want one of the ‘s’ (swivel) models.

Atlas CAL is a great bipod, Evolution makes a similar model that is carbon and lighter and had different length leg kits. Hatch makes some that are great for hunting with different leg lengths. To mount, put a picatinny rail on the bottom of the stock, and get the lever mount on the bipod. Its solid and quick on and off. You can get the Pic rail with a place for a standard sling attachment or get one with a built in flush cup.

A note on mounting the rail-
Most folks probably just screw it to the stock, that works. I personally epoxy bed mine and if the rifle is wood stocked or composite without an aluminum plate inside of it, I make some pillars with a flange on them and epoxy them in the stock to thread the screws into. I don't ever want to chance any wobble, the stock compressing, or screws working loose. Is all that overkill, maybe, but I never worry about those issues happening at the most inopportune time.

I’m a hatch fan but they are heavy and expensive
