"To call natives savages is pretty shortsighted." Not really. Maybe not all inclusive, but spot on for many. Their ways were just different.

"Europeans killed them off inadvertently through disease. If not for the disease through friendly contact the battle for America would not have been so one sided." Who cares? This argument is extremely flawed. We don't know what might have happened, but we do know what did happen. Grasp a pretty simple concept - it was what it was. Deal with it.

To call natives savages is pretty shortsighted. They likely don’t hold a candle to many Europeans, vikings etc. the reality is before much could be documented of the natives, Europeans killed them off inadvertently through disease. If not for the disease through friendly contact the battle for America would not have been so one sided. There is evidence that their agricultural practices predate that of Europe. Through seeds found using carbon dating. Obviously the Mayans used calendars and math. They had formal education as well. All things that show that they were as civilized as Europeans. The one thing they never discovered is the wheel. Which is a huge leap for civilization.

Viking were absolutely savages as were many of the early European groups.

I think you misread my statement as someone who is mad or something I was just talking about the facts of a civilized People. There’s no reason to be upset for me or for anyone else just what it is.

Ain't upset. People diminish the concept of manifest destiny which did lead to American produced advances which has helped so many more than it has ever hurt.

No doubt. America has been a great country. They don’t call it the American dream for nothing.

Ok, rant time...

The vilification of our founding is just one more instance of outsiders ( and insiders ) attempting to break down our institutions. Holidays, anthems, founding fathers, monuments, institutions...you name it, if it is core to America, it is in some way under attack. The real question to all of these should be, WHY?

My theory, there are those that do not want our children and grand children to have reason to fight and protect our way of life, and are working hard, at the edges, to sow doubt and resentment to that very way of life. Today, no one can approach us militarily, but what happens when a generation of leaders, maybe 20 or 30 years down the road, says, meh, not worth fighting for. The same is true economically. A few years ago we scoffed at the European workers who would take an ENTIRE MONTH off work for holiday during the summer...now we have an portion of our workers who want the same, or more, or have even given up working entirely and living off the dole or their parents. Again, how is our ECONOMIC way of life protected, when we have a generation not interested in participating.

I could go on, but one day our kids and grandkids will wake up and say, what the heck happened, and how do we fix? I just hope they are not too late to the game, but I have less and less confidence, especially after some of the miscreants we saw win in the last election.

I think a lot of people are extremely unfamiliar with the Weimar Republic or were at the least taught a profoundly incorrect history about it.

The same cultural things that happened in Germany post WWI to WWII (weimar period) are 1,000% happening here. Same puppet masters too.

Porn, homosexual, trans, multiculturalism, govt overreach, destruction of the nuclear family, vilification of christianity, etc - you can have a list with 1,000 things on it and they'd match nearly perfectly.

Nothing new under the sun.
