Look at the gas cap cover. If it is chrome you will understand.

Never understood the need to add all the junk or take off the badging that comes on them. It’s a vehicle I just drive it.

Exactly. My pickup is just a tool to get me where I need to go.

I had a buddy in high school that had Z71 Off Road badging on his Ford Escort. I thought it was pretty funny.

I like it when the Mustang guys put a 5.0 badge on it, but then gas it and you know its the 4-banger. Posers.

at the different dealers i've worked at, people
have bought all manners and numbers of
emblems to apply to vehicles that they don't
belong on. 5.0 emblems as ^ ^ mentioned,
4X4, Lariat, Eddie Bauer, King Ranch, etc.

probably besides the 5.0 , the most popular
was the Harley Davidson truck emblems.
people would buy those, and ask the price
for the wheels and turn pale and buy the
emblems, then the body shop would get a
genuine Harley truck come in stripped
sometime not long after

lots of the local pinhead hoodrats used to
steal the mercedes and lincoln hood emblems
to wear around their neck on a chain.
a friend in a rural area said that the local
Massey Ferguson guy used to sell a good
many of the MF hats to hoodrats to wear
something that said MF

who can figure the pinheads that run the
streets these days ?

Probably just wishful thinking. Or maybe his 3500 got totaled and that’s all the insurance money would pay for.

They really need the 6.7 PowerStroke badge. They obviously have a good sense of humor

Bought a '69 Camaro years ago with SS badging on it (it was a 307 V-8 original motor, far from an SS) - first thing I did was remove the SS badging.

Otherwise, who cares - if it is your vehicle, go for it. Just not for me.

It matters to me. I want none of it, besides a small model logo, maybe, on my vehicles. Definitely don’t want the dealership’s badge.

Yep. When I bought my Soul in 2015, I drove 1 mile down the road and pulled the dealer's badge off. When I bought my Sonata in 2020, I just had to remove the license plate ring/badge. Easy peasy. I will not advertise for a dealership.

Agreed. I do think, however, it'd be funnier if it had "Hemi" instead. Not sure why that would make me laugh, but I can guarantee it would!

I make the dealer do it. I leave the lot with zero of their advertising unless they want to pay me and I haven't found one willing yet.

In high school I worked for a delearship after school and on the weekends for $6.50 an hour. I was the person that badged all those vehicles.

In the Ram forum someone posted a pic of a Ram that had a Hemi badge installed crooked on a truck. So obvious.

The only cosmetic thing I have made a dealer do was flip my tires to put the white letters in. I prefer black out. I take all dealership labels off as soon as I get home. I have never debadged but have plastic dipped chrome emblems. The fake fender vents is one I really don't understand but I am a white man.
