When is the last time you went out scooting around the dance floor? It has been Wolf Brand Chili long for me. What was or is your favorite C&W place for cold ones, shuffleboard, pool and dancing? Spent many a night at Cowboys on Gaston & Garland. Had a buddy who worked there that would get us backstage to meet the bands.
Went to Chance’s & D&D’s & Stampede’s. Lee’s Silverfox was a drive, but we went a few times.
W.W. Fairfield’s was a little hole in the wall but it was close and the beer was always cold.
At A&M we would hit The Hall and Shadow Canyon. Good times. Haven’t been two steppin’ in probably 20 years

They used to have lady night and it was like nickle call for a few hours.

Palms danceland. My trainer took me there, many times. It was a bar open in the mornings. cops, fireman and nurses got off after working all night and went drinking. The housewife crowd were regulars. I had never seen anything like it. Still hasn’t been recreated.

Man. I could go on and on about that place. Housewives would come from miles around. A cheap motel next door use to have afternoon specials. So I’m told. 😂
