Time to replace the 1980 scope on my 30-06 BAR, and I would like the windage adjustable base off as well. Anyone know what the best option is for base + rings? Thinking 2 pc base here instead of 1, but open to first hand experience.

Depending on the accuracy/consistency you are seeking…. A one piece base is typically preferable to ensure scope ring alignment and reduce stress on the scope. Normally this is due to milling or mount hole drilling inconsistencies when the gun is made.
