When is Sunset other that what is posted in the paper? Is Sunset when the sun touches the horizon or when the sun disappears below the horizon?

Why don't we have time to do things right the first time, but always have time to do things over, and over, and over?

I think legal sunset is the time for your area that the weather station/paper says it is. Just like legal shooting time in the am

Sunset is the moment the sun dissapears on the western horizon.
But you can't go by what you see when hunting due to different elevations and terrain. You can use this website to find the sunset for your location or if you want to be precise, take your GPS which will give you sunset times for the very spot you are standing.

I use this page to get the morning LST when you can't see the sun. I like it because you get a month at a time and it shows moon phases, too.

I think my fancy new phone has something just for LST but I haven't figured it out yet...

I agree on the GPS. Sunrise and sunset right where you are standing.

Hello Everyone.......
I think sunset is when sun starts disappearing slowely from earth in day. That process happens every day. It's amazing to see when sun is being setting down.I have seen it like It is going in the sea water.
