When are yall heading out to the ranch or lease? Friday morning-afternoon-evening or early opening morning? I'll be leaving Friday morning for the Friday BBQ/party before opening morning when everybody will be hung over on Saturday morning. Gotta luv it!

Leaving Thursday evening and will get one more bow hunt in Friday before all the yahoos show up!!!!

Leaving Friday morning. Got to pick up the Ranger from the shop on the way in and get the fire ready for the ribs and steaks! I'll have a few adult beverages but no hang over in the blind for this guy.

I'm heading up tomorrow mid day. Try to get everything done tomorrow night and early Friday and be able to relax in the afternoon and evening before the opener.

will load up Friday morning, fill 55 gallon barrel with water and head out with wife in tow. Pick up some corn in town, get to the ranch, fill road feeder and go hit all the stands and swap out SD cards. Dinner with the wife and review all the SD cards to see what's coming in. Wife will likely sleep in Sat. morning while I hunt but she might go sit the stand in the afternoon if temperatures aren't too hot or cold, as long as my Thermocell is functioning properly.

Friday morning. There was supposed to be a shindig at the neighbor's Friday night, 50-60 people, live band, etc., but he landed in the hospital last week. I'm pretty sure the poor bugger knew it's getting close to the end so he wanted to treat all the neighbors. 'Hope he can get out and see his ranch a few more times. My place used to be their family's south pasture 21+ years ago and he's been a real gentleman to me since we bought it 3+ years ago.

Head out 3:45AM Sat. morning after the Fri. rains with goal of being in blinds by 6:15AM ready for that feeder to go off at 7:30AM...

Thursday night, work remotely Friday. Check 1-2 rifles at lunch Friday, have a good dinner and lay out the gear for Saturday morning. Check the weather and figure out which blind to hunt.

Nothing on camera that’s an early season shooter, so we’ll probably take it easy until the rut kicks in.

We’re leaving Friday evening, me the grandson and his buddy, I took them youth weekend but didn’t get anything, just small bucks running does is all that was seen.

Definitely has started in Parker County. They’ve been chasing the last few days.

I hunt public land at Lake Meredith. I never hunt opening weekend because the place is a zoo and it is basically amateur's day. I'll wait a week or two and then go in and glass up a deer and stalk it down like I do every year.

Leave Friday morning, crew meet up and buy groceries in Quanah early, lease by noon. Enjoy the afternoon, cook a great meal, have a few beers. We have zero work to do, been hitting all the off-season activities regularly. This is our time to hunt and enjoy all that goes all along with it.

Since I hunt my own property....I just roll out of bed any day I choose to hunt.

I can walk to some stands and even the furthest away (that I drive to) is just over a mile.

In any case, I can be on stand in 15 minutes and have all the comforts of home waiting anytime I want to quit.

Head to lease get there around noon Friday. Corn the blinds and check feeders. Kick back and relax.

I'm letting the working class guys have the weekend. I'll be there for the Sunday pm hunt thru Tuesday am

Leisurely drive down Friday morning to Doss, recently was told we are in a CWD zone this year, Heard there might be an inspection drop in Doss but if not will head to Harper and see if I can locate the one there. Then top off the feeder and hopefully with the work I put in during the off season all I will need to do the rest of the day, is drink a few beers and hopefully watch a pretty sunset.

Headed out tomorrow at noon. Hope to get a few more bow hunts in before gun season starts.

Thursday night so I can get in a day of crossbow hunting before the gun opener, then up to several days of rifle hunting, fishing, metal detecting, arrowhead hunting, and other stuff.
