Who thinks TCU should be over Alabama? TCU has beaten 4 ranked at the time, 2 still ranked teams.

No. To quote an Ex-All conference TCU forearm champion. There is something to say about them winning 8-0, but they sure don’t play like a top ten team. I agree with the big gorilla.

I’m reality AL is probably the 3rd or 4th best team only definitively behind TN and GA.

Okay, but where is A&M and Texas?

Not bad for a small church related school is it?

TCU is doing a great

It is nice to see them do well.

I remember the very sad days while I was there.

Interesting that Ole Miss moved up 4 spots after beating lowly Aggies by only 3 points.

Rankings at this point are meaningless. Only thing that matters is where the teams lie at the end of championship week. Lots of play until then, it will sort itself out.

My top 5 based on games played (not that this matters, but since it was asked):
1. Georgia- last years champ still undefeated. Remain in 1 spot until beaten
2. Ohio State- best combo of defense and offense, other than Georgia.
3. Tenn- beaten the Satanites, counts as the best win of the season so far, but their defense is sorely lacking and that will hurt them.
4. Meetchicken- better than clemson, tcu, and the remaining unbeatens.
5. TCU- can a big 12 team actually compete or is it all smoke and mirrors...too many choklahoma bowl losses hurt the big 12 credibility.

TCU is not a better team than Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee or Ohio State…

Realistically they are 5 or 6…

Georgia and Tennessee still have to play
Then one of those will have to play Alabama

Michigan and OSU still have to play…

The path is there for TCU to make the playoff even if I strongly believe they are not a top 4 team in the country.

TCU goes undefeated and they are in the playoff. Undefeated conference champ is in.

Most likely leaving out the loser of Tenn v Georgia.

Agree, TCU stays undefeated and they are in the playoff. It is just hard to exclude, and given that several in front would have to lose head to heads.

OSU will play UM. Georgia plays UT, winner plays Bama.

I always say, win out and you are in. Only not a guarantee for nonP5 conference champs, but did last year with cincy.

Problem is, it is really tough to win out. So then it becomes the popularity contest of one loss teams. IF TCU loses once it is over for them. There will be too many "better" one loss teams ahead to allow a Big12 school in. Again, years of choklahoma have shown that is not a great option.

We will likely have 2-3 undefeated teams this year...so there just isn't room for all the one loss teams. Gotta wait for '26 for that (can't wait).

I think this year college football will try to put in a 1 loss USC., if they win PAC.
One playoff game is at the Fiesta Bowl. NC game is at Sofi.

TCU doesn't have near enough defense to go undefeated. This is the best chance OSU has had in years to actually win it all, even though their pathetic schedule doesn't prepare them very well for a Georgia, UT, etc. Pedophile State isn't that good, Michigan is pretty good, the rest of the Big 10 is pretty much terrible.

I like TCU. They are salty, but if you were forced to bet your house and kids on Alabama vs TCU, who would you pick? I’d have to go with Alabama.

They’re Texas. They get free passes all the time. 24th doesn’t matter anymore than 26th though so no reason to care.
