Killed this sucker back in December on 2020 and just picked it up from the taxidermist today. True Life in Granbury did the work along with just about every other mount I have. They are usually right at a year but COVID and supply shortages extended the time. Certainly worth the wait as Roy does excellent work. The hunt was booked with Mulie Mike. He offers a few free range oryx hunts in Rock Springs every year. This was right before the big freeze so I don’t know how bad the herds were hit but I would certainly recommend this hunt to anyone that wants a oryx. How is the meat? It is on my short list to get one. Meat was fantastic . My wife ate it almost every day day. I never had game meat disappear so quickly.

I think that tends to be an antelope body trait. I remember how rotund my little black buck was when I got him on the ground. They are definitely built different than deer.
