One of the worst predators of birds including game birds. Egg eating machines and can go up any tree with ease. I control them as much as coyotes and raccoons.

I don’t have to control snakes. I believe I have most of the Montague County hogs on my land. I haven’t seen but one snake in the last 10 or so years. Used to be butt deep in them and had to really watch where I walked. I preferred the buzz tails to the pigs.
Without a sense of urgency, nothing ever happens.
Boy, if I say "sic em", you'd better look for something to bite. Sam Shelley, Rancher Muleshoe Texas 1892-1985 RIP

The rat snakes spend a lot of time in trees where the hogs can’t get them. I have enough of them to hurt the local dove/turkey population so they get killed on my ranch.
