Notebooks
Apple or ?
I have an apple from work and it’s the first one I have played with. Wife says if I like it she will buy me one for my training/ instruction.

I am getting more comfortable with the apple but wow it’s weird compared to all I’ve used before.

What are the perks

Thanks

Used to be Apple was for people who couldn't figure out how to use WIndows; illiterates and artsy types. And viruses weren't so often written for them. No idea now. Really I'm just tagging this thread in case someone who actually knows answers.

What are you going to be doing?

That’s a key question.

To be determined

What he said. If you are going to be using Excel or Word, then a PC operating Windows is much better. I use a PC at work before I retired and was in Excel almost every day. I have an iMac now, Excel and Word for Mac dose not have near the features in the Apple format. It is way harder to use and find the functions on the Mac.

I've used both of them. Excel and Word have the same features on Windows as Mac.

The biggest learning curve for me on a Mac was understanding that it doesn't have to be complicated. You really have to unlearn a lot of Windows BS.

I will be using it to teach/ instruct/ train.
Building PowerPoints and such.
First time I used the apple I struggled to get the power point up and going.
Then there was issues getting pages closed and open, I am starting to get more comfortable with it.

That is the best tutorial I have ever seen for Excel on Mac. I have looked at literally, hundreds of different help sites and never found much help. The one you listed is great, thanks so much.

Apple makes really good laptops. Outside of specific applications that are Windows only, it's largely personal preference. Surfing the Internet and Office apps are not much different between the two. There's a reason Microsoft continually mimics Apple features.
