Praying for strength

Extra prayers for her today.

3:30 PM today:
Besides a UTI, Olivia has a STAPH infection her lungs. The doctors are also running tests to find out why her pupils have become different sizes,(dilated differently)... her condition causes problems with her eyes, so this may just be an advancement of her genetic defect.

Very disappointing news. I'm so sorry Olivia is having to go through this. I'm sure her family is terrified. Just isn't fair for young one takes ill like this. God bless all and prayers will continue.

Only update today

Doctors are going to begin weaning her off of some antiseizure meds, she is on a constant EEG to monitor brain activity. It occasionally flatlines, which means no brain activity. It is possible her medicine that they're weaning her off of is causing this. Or not.

So it appears olivia will be in the hospital at least a month, along with her seizures, respiratory failure, a UTI, the Staphylococcal pneumonia bacteria usually takes at least 3 weeks to treat.

Just saw this. Praying for healing and comfort for Olivia, strength for the family, and God’s wisdom for the medical team.

Praying for precious Olivia, Lord. Please give her strength and healing. Please give her comfort when none can be found. God, please bless all who love little Olivia with an extra measure of Your Peace that passes understanding. Please help this family as they go down this hard road of sickness and pain. Not much to report, but progress must be being made, they will try in the next day or 3 to remove Olivia's breathing tube. Please pray that goes smoothly, and that she doesn't start to have seizures again as they decrease her sedation.

Just got a text, Olivia is Extubated, (not intubated anymore). And they removed her EEG, which I'm not sure if that's good or bad... since the EEG detects unusual brain activity (seizures).

My wife and I are still prayer for her and family along with her medical staff.

it's "possible" Olivia may come home late this week, or early next week. They are trying to wean her off the AVAPS use during the day, without her left lung having any issues (fluid build up). He said she is pretty much back to all her "normal" medications. She still sleeps a lot, due to meds and her condition. Also, she will be "fitted" for a special stroller, so that she can be "transported" a little easier.

Praying she gets feeling well enough to come home. Poor little lady has seen too much of the inside of a hospital.

She'll surely be glad to be home.
