Ran in to return some reading glasses this morning and saw where they have turned the entire lawn and garden area into the Christmas section. It's too damn early you greedy bastards!

I don’t like going there. The whole self checkout thing pizzes me off and the line is always a mile long.

Today was terrible with everyone having full carts. Guess they got their Lonestar cards reloaded.

Our Walmart has 20 check out lanes, I do not think I have seen any more than 6 open at any time and that was during Christmas. Usually only one or two are open and they are so slow that you don't wont to stand there.
The self-check thing is quick but they need more of them. They need to clear out about a dozen regular registers and put in more self checkouts.
I love to drop off my wife at the door and wait in the car. When I pick her up she is fuming, it is hilarious. We call it "Walmart rage," she gets it a HEB too.

I know christmas stuff shouldn't be put out before Halloween

And we still see it every year about this time and think it is nuts.

Family Dollar (maybe Dollar Tree) had Christmas stuff out a few weeks ago.

They have the Christmas trees and stuff associated with Christmas out at Hime Depot as well.

Halloween - Oct 1st
Thanksgiving - Nov 1st
Christmas - 4th Friday in Nov (Black Friday)

I like ours. Easy in easy out.

Garbage employees, massive out of stocks, meth head customers and no cashiers…what’s not to love?

I’m the exact opposite. I prefer self check out. Had to go through the line at Walmart yesterday and actually had to talk to the checker. Ruined my whole day

You can go in just about any store and find Christmas stuff now. Now is time to get some deals on the lawn and garden stuff.

I hate to see retailers rushing the seasons. Most stores do it.
I prefer the self checkout over a cashier. Don’t want people I don’t know handling my food or packing my grocery bags. Too many people have poor or no proper hygiene. Most cashiers don’t care what items they pack together. I had frozen items with cereal and other items that need to stay dry.

I like self check out.

My wife runs a store.... there are people that are waiting for Xmas stuff to go on sell. The stores are just accommodating them.......

But it is too early for the Christmas music....

Just left my local Wally World (against my will) and 3/4 of the store employees had colored hair, a face full of piercings, beanies on or some other oddball look. What ever happened to taking pride in your appearance. I ran a grocery store for 16 years and would not of put up with this sort of riff-raff employee pool.

You would have no employees now days.

That is really the sad truth. I worked for Safeway my freshman and senior years and they required us to be clean and neat and we had to wear a tie. Sacker all the way to the manager did.
As for the self checkout lines, I like them as I put stuff in the bags they way it is supposed to be. The last time I went to Kroger, I had my items divided on the belt the way then needed to be bagged. Had to stop the clerk as he was going to put raw meat in with vegetables.

You literally kill the Spirit of Christmas by monetizing it.
