All,
I'd like to see if anyone had suggestions or if any knife makers on here could make a knife for me. My brother in law is a rescue helicopter pilot flying the UH-60 pave - hawk. He will be deploying in the next several months and I like to get him a knife made or buy one for him that he could carry on deployment (based out of Italy).
I'm looking for something that is a fixed blade and needs to be built to use.
Please feel free to PM me or put suggestions in the box below.
Thank you and God bless our troops.

Stainless ESEE 3 and add an Armatus sheath for another way to carry.

Get one of the knife guys to make you a fancy KaBar. Combine tried and true with fancy. Maybe even a Damascus bladed KaBar.

This knife is similar to what we wore in our flight vests, see link. I was a Medical Crew Chief on a UH 60. We always had survival gear on every trip no matter how small. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aircrew_Survival_Egress_Knife

The 1958 knife that Jamoke showed is one I bought in the PX about 1975 or so. At Camp Lajeune, I think. It’s stored away in an old military pack in the barn workshop. I liked the way it looked, so I bought it, but never used it for anything, though I did sharpen it. If the OP wants it, it sounds like it would be put to good use, so PM me.
Personally, I’d still lean toward a KaBar or the shorter version of the KaBar.

I guess I did drink the water, but I wasn’t there long. Going on old memories, I was with a battalion shipped that way for amphibious warfare training. At Little Creek, Virginia. Boy, that was a long time ago…

I wanted to give a quick update. First, the knife turned out amazing and I will be giving it to my BIL in a couple of weeks. Secondly, Ben was great to work with; makes an amazing knife and was constantly in touch with updates. I would highly recommend.
Thank you to Ben and everyone on here
