You'll be astounded how bright and helpful they are.

Install them on their own fused, manually switched circuit.

Yup

If you start adjusting those headlight beams (especially the left one) you will be blinding oncoming traffic horribly even on low beam

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Flat brim hat and some white Oakleys and you will be seeing those ditches like a boss.

While I don't have an answer, I can understand where you are coming from. My wife swapped out the headlights in her highlander with some LED's and I can't see crap directly to the left and right of the front of the car. It makes turning onto dark streets incredibly difficult because you lose sight of the median right as you get to the corner.

Thanks,
Rich

That's the best you can do from the factory. I installed the two Boost Auto Parts mods tonight and this is going to work fine for my needs. The first mod turns the fog lamps on with the high beams. This itself gives about 2 feet more light to the side, but isn't any different than when the fog lamps are on with the low beams. The second mod turns on the forward facing mirror task lights when in drive, and the button is pressed. It is set up as a contact switch so they stay on only as long as you press the switch. This lights up the side view pretty well and will provide me with enough light to turn and not end up in the ditch. I'm going to see if it is possible for them to be switched on with the high beams and bypass the momentary switch altogether? I'll post a video when I'm at the ranch to documents the difference these modifications make.

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason! nidea
