I had that same color scheme and probably same year of your Suburban. Many family vacations camping. Only high-end stereo I've ever put in a vehicle. 'Stolen outside a movie theater while my wife and two of our girls were inside with me. Parted out and found on blocks. Chollos. realmad

I wish I had one of those full size Broncos. Would never think about selling or giving it away.

This one (1988) was stolen too, broad daylight at my then wife's work. It was found off Sandy Lake Road. They stole the stereo, Mahogany steering wheel, custom American Racing wheels. I had to go to the Dallas Impound, it was sitting on the brakes, I found a plastic "rake" (comb) in it, full of curly black hair, hummm. It was in 4-Low with scratches all down the sides. Sorry Mfers took it for a joy ride through the brush. All new wheels, paint , stereo and steering wheel.

LOVED the Cargo Doors

I had an 88 Suburban too, but different color scheme (brown/green). New paint job and new interior, I loved that thing. Saved up and bought it cash for the wife and surprised her with it, but she hated it and wouldn't drive it so it became mine. Put a cargo rack on the back to haul animals.

Full sized 78-79 would be a good choice.

Creek offered up a gem of a Bronco a few years back.
This was my favorite, it was just too dang small. Me and the wife and two guns was all it could handle.
Paint job by Mrs. Searcher.
I kind of wish I still had it, but it was constant maintenance.

Have had several 4 wheelers over the years but the one I let get away after owning it for 4 years was a 1966 half cab Broncho. Straight 6 that ran like a top. Sold it in 1979 for $500 bucks.

You'd have the tires under-inflated and would have to deal with too many blow outs.

1987 - Toyota Hilux 4x4 - That thing could go anywhere. Got 375K miles on it when it threw a rod.

Got a 1999 Toyota Tacoma to replace it. Its was not 1/2 the truck that 1987 was.
