Dee, what cheek rests are these on your rifles? They look really handy and comfortable. One of these typically. A 6.5x57 or sometimes it wears a 7mm-08ai barrel and the other is either a 223ai or a 22 creed. The pads are made by Wiebad down in the Bryan/College Station area.

I am not much of a hunter but this is what I would call my best version of a hunting rifle. It's a bit different than y'all's. 1951 Marlin 336RC in .30-30 Winchester with a vintage steel Redfield peep sight. I cast and load for it too.
Pass the gravy.

That 336 30-30 is really nice. That was my first deer rifle I purchased from Gibson's in Odessa for $89 back in 1970. I worked sacking ice that Summer to buy it, and my dad put a Weaver K4 on it for me. Still have it, and still shoot hogs with it. Thanks for the walk back in time, and love that peep setup.

This is my main hunting rifle - a 280AI, built by our very own, Jason Garvey. Built on a Rem 700 actionMcMillan Game Scout stock 24" Bartlein Rem Varmint Barrel, spiral fluted, 1/9 twist (Action squared and lug upgraded) NF ATACR 7x35x56 up top Atlas BT10 V8 bipod Trigger Tech, set to 1.5# 20 MOA pic rail Triad Tac pad CDI bottom metal Live Oak brake 11/11 on big game animals, and shot out to 800 yards with tremendous accuracy! Jason developed a handload (162gr ELDM/ELDX) which is getting between 1/4 - 1/8 MOA, depending on how well I do my job! I have loaded with the same recipe, with the same results.

IMHO, Walmart has never sold a better performing rifle than the Weatherby Vanguard Deluxe Sporter. This one chambered in .270 Winchester and without question the most accurate rifle I own. One of those times when an impulse purchase really paid off.

Was at the range today with a trio of 308s. I have to say that Ruger RSI has to be the most unpleasant rifle to shoot that I own. The Montana was way more comfortable with less weight. Maybe I’ll load down to HAMR speeds on that Ruger so I will actually enjoy it.

I kind of want a Savage 99, now. I guess I never realized just how attractive they really are.

That's a beautiful rifle and a great piece of history.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

If you're "favorite" rifle don't have gash, scratch or blue wear from hades on it, its just a rifle you like
I said it

Needed a Juddmoor in the safe and at 10lbs 4oz, it's going to see a lot of range time with the older kiddos APR Altitude 280 Ackley, this will see the majority of the time in the blind Plenty of ARs for pigs and yotes, very few pictures I can find right now though
