I have a 2021 GMC Denali 2500hd. When driving on a ranch road the highlight beam does not light up the ditch out in front of the truck. I mean it is dark to the point you cant see where to turn the durn truck. I've googled left right headlight adjustments and best I can tell there is no mention of any way to get the thing to light up either side of the truck? These LED beams are real distinct and do not shine toward the bar ditch or beside the truck much at all! Has anyone else had this problem? How did you solve it?

Add driving lights to the bumper, when I turn off the county road you could land a plane in front of me. I may run some crap over but it’s not because I couldn’t see it. If you happen to have a ranch hand bumper it’s stupid easy but if you've still got the chrome grocery getter on it find some that will look good on or in it and get after it. All factory lighting sucks, need more lumens

Do you run the fog lights? I know the ones on my 2022 GMC are pretty bright.

Agree with the others above. Add LED auxiliary lights (or light bar) for off-road use.
You'll be astounded how bright and helpful they are.
Install them on their own fused, manually switched circuit.

Remove the 10" lift kit and get the lights back near the ground.

Have a younger person drive with you that still has good eye sight. Ah man so true. Remove the 10" lift kit and get the lights back near the ground. Unfortunately, there's not lift on mine. It is a factory POS thing. So I bought a light mod from Boost Auto parts to make them all come on with the high beams. Normally, the fog lamps shut off with the high beam and the mirror lights only work when parked. Looks easy enough and a lot easier than adding a light bar. I don't need much, but driving in the dark and guessing where to turn isn't going to work out for me.

The nice thing about GMC's is you can mount the light bar behind the grille, so it looks way better than being mounted on the bumper. This is how I mounted mine on my last truck....this is a curved 30" light bar: ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/09/full-24569-361914-img_5676.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/09/full-24569-361915-img_5677.jpg)

I dont know anything about light bars, and such, but a guy on my lease had a fancy truck that had some kind of fancy light he could turn on and off. When it was on I couldnt believe it. SO BRIGHT FOR SO FAR AND WIDE. Those would have to be illegal on a regular road, arent they? Definitely would be blinded if coming at him.

Free I have those lights on my truck and they really light things up. If I have them on while driving I turn them off as I meet other vehicles. Might be able to adjust the beam but have not tried. Really helps on some roads. Mine mount on the brush guard.

Low beam & fog lights seems to be the answer if seeing to the side is the problem.

So while doing some research I came across a company Boost Auto Parts who sells bypass circuits that will Turn the fog lights and the Mirror task lights on with the high beams. However, in doing the research I discovered the plant put the wrong switch in my truck. The switch should have a button to turn the forward facing mirror lights on and off. The dealer said they will swap out the switch as soon as it comes in. So the plan is to get the dealer to install the correct switch before installing the mod. Once it is installed and working I will have the bypass circuits installed. From everything I have read this should fix my problem. High Beam to Spot Mirror Mod (2019 - 2022 Silverado/Sierra)2007 - 2022 GM All Lights Mod (6 High Mod)

I hate to say it, but you have a no brainer right here. Yeah, fog lights go off when the highs are engaged. That is commonplace. How do you deal with that? Turn off the high beams. BOOM! No cost solution found.

No cost solution found. It helps but not much. The no-brainer fix would be for the damn manufacture to build in some left/right adjustment or modify the emitter to have a wider beam. I am hoping the forward facing task lights on the mirrors will when modified to come on with the high beams provide the needed light to the side of the truck. If this doesn't work I will be buying some lights as others have recommended. It's bad, specially when you get old and don't see as well as you once did.

All of the vehicles I drive on the highways have enhanced headlights in one form or another. It is especially needed since we live on a FM road where animals frequently cross the road (or tried to). I need to be able to see WAY down the road in addition to maintaining a speed that doesn't 'over drive' my headlights. My Wife is an accountant and during Tax Season often doesn't get home until 10:00 p.m. so lots of nighttime driving. I swear she has killed more animals with her Lexus....than I do with all my rifles in any given year. Thankfully, most of them have been small.
