I have the Featherweight 30-06 walnut that I would like to trade. It's very nice and dead accurate with fusion 150gr, sub 1" groups. I really like the Alaskan with the iron sights on the rifle. South Central Texas, but willing to drive a reasonable distance.
Open to trade ideas...I really want the FN made rifle, but open to pre 64 (no interest in pre war).
If interested we can exchange pictures. My rifle looks exactly like the rifle pictured on winchester's website.
Thanks, Jim

Bump: I'll add that I'm highly considering just adding iron sights. I would still trade up with $ for an interesting Model 70 with irons.

Is yours one of the ones they made in the US that is control round feed, right before FN moved production to Portugal? I've got one in .308, and would love to have one in 30-06. I don't have what your looking for in trade though. All I have to trade is a Kimber Ultra Crimson in .45.
Thanks,
Marty

Any interest in a dead even swap for a Tikka T3 6.5 x55 wood/blue with under 50 rounds down range? it LUV's SST's and will hold a teeny tiny group, if I've taken my blood pressure pills like I'm 'posed to.
I've been thinking of narrowing the on hand shooters and I'd really rather shed the T3 Swede 1st , possibly for a similar Tikka CM or 7-08 shooter. ...or mebbe something like your Fwt '06, as I also have a very clean dead stock M70 Fwt 7x57 with factory Iron Sights that is NOT for sale or trade, at least not right now, that would go great with a '06 Fwt with factory Iron Sights .....as a take anywhere pair.
FWIW I also have a M70 270 with a claw extractor, that I had been told that the barreled action was built in the US in Maryland , or was it South Carolina ?, but the barreled action was shipped to Portugal for the finish out and came back with a black composite stock as a close out rifle. Right now it is everyday my go to shooter and validates my idea as the Go Anywhere game getter I was looking for umm...mebbe 10 years ago or more. Later I found a nearly new wood take off stock that proved to be almost a drop in, that came off a later M70 long action that had been sent to Arizona for one of the very early fiberglass composite stocks.
I see you are In San Antonio, If Bobby Nagle or any of the guys at Alamo Leather are still alive, tell them hello from Ron, the Schoellkopf / Stoeger ( SAKO) rep from Dallas. How time flys when you get past 70....and I am pushing almost 80 these days, and not ready to give hunting up quite yet. Ron

OK, no response on a trade even deal for my nearly new Tikka T3 Swede for your M70 30'06 Fwt. I'll try to sell/trade it somewhere else then. Ron

Hi Ron, First of all, so sorry I didn't see your post until just now. I was getting slow activity and almost forgot about it. I'll take a look at pictures of your T3, that sounds interesting. Let me know!

I apologize to you too. I have to figure out how to get notified when someone replies!
