We met some friends at Roman Cucina tonight, it was very good as usual with large servings. I had the Alfredo with Chicken Milanese and it did not disappoint, it was also $5.00 Martini night. Lunch tomorrow.

Roman Cucina take out again. The wife and I usually get the Sausage Lasagna, very large portions that are enough for two and it never disappoints! My half with Italian wedding soup.

Here is today's fun fact for everyone: The chicken parm was invented by Italian American's, it's not a traditional dish from Italy.

If you are ever in Katy, TX stop in at DaVinci's. Best Italian I have ever had hands down. Only open for dinner and a small, intimate place. Owner/Chef graduated from the Cordon Bleu academy in Paris. Pricey, but fantastic food where the menu is just a suggestion and he will make you whatever you want.

The first time we ate at Mio Nonno the waiter told us that the chef didn’t allow substitutions or any changes to the dishes. He felt he had created a diverse and varied enough menu people should be able to find something to enjoy and was proud of his food. Having a wife and 2 daughters that may have never ordered anything as is from a menu I was secretly VERY HAPPY and after eating the food agreed. Not sure if this is still policy but it still works.

Wife wanted Roman Cucina for dinner last night to enjoy her favorite dish their Chicken Alfredo, usually I get the Sausage Lasagna which is always great. Decided to bust a move and try something different, went with one of their specials which was Lobster Ravioli. I am no connoisseur on fine dining but this IMO was just okay, to cheesy and could barely taste any Lobster in the dish much less stuffed in the Ravioli, they were generous with the peas though, one and done on that plate.

Roman Cucina is the only Italian Food place we ever go to not counting pizza joints. My go to dish is the Gianni.

Alfonso's Italian Restaurant ............. close to White Rock Lake 718 N. Buckner Blvd #222 Dallas, TX 75218
Since 1982
Very good Italian family recipes. Owner used to own Colombo's Italian years ago. Name is Peter Colombo. Best Lasagna I've had and the pizza is fantastic.

Is this the Roman Cucina in Allen, TX? We have eaten there a couple of time since we moved to Allen 5 years ago it is always solid food with big portions, but not among our favorite Italian restaurants in Collin County. Our favorites are Mia Nonno (Allen), Ciccio Trattoria (McKinney), and North Italia (Plano).
