We met some friends at Roman Cucina tonight, it was very good as usual with large servings. I had the Alfredo with Chicken Milanese and it did not disappoint, it was also $5.00 Martini night. Lunch tomorrow.

Roman Cucina take out again. The wife and I usually get the Sausage Lasagna, very large portions that are enough for two and it never disappoints! My half with Italian wedding soup.

Here is today's fun fact for everyone: The chicken parm was invented by Italian American's, it's not a traditional dish from Italy.

If you are ever in Katy, TX stop in at DaVinci's. Best Italian I have ever had hands down. Only open for dinner and a small, intimate place. Owner/Chef graduated from the Cordon Bleu academy in Paris. Pricey, but fantastic food where the menu is just a suggestion and he will make you whatever you want.

Yes it is. New menu as of a couple of weeks ago.

The first time we ate at Mio Nonno the waiter told us that the chef didn’t allow substitutions or any changes to the dishes. He felt he had created a diverse and varied enough menu people should be able to find something to enjoy and was proud of his food. Having a wife and 2 daughters that may have never ordered anything as is from a menu I was secretly VERY HAPPY and after eating the food agreed. Not sure if this is still policy but it still works.
