What is the Sitka equivalent to the Kuiu Gale Force jacket and pants?

Bobo and "Yankee Buck"( ) will be along to answer that. Hud will comment about Carhardt or plaid or cotton at some point but pay him no mind.......

Lol free’s answer cracked me up…
Sitka has the kodiak jacket made for horseback hunting, but the better answer really for the gale force equivalent system would be the incinerator system, jacket and bibs, OR the blizzard jacket and bibs.
The difference is the outer face on the incinerator is made more for treestand bow hunting (quieter) while the blizzard is the more western/big game set up for rifle hunting. The true gale force equivalent is the blizzard line, but the sitka line has two set ups that are similar but designed for different applications.
Hope that helps. As with the gale force, neither of the sitka set ups is cheap.

I was looking at the Blizzard Aerolie set up. i just didnt know if it was going to be too much warmth. I'll be using it for an Alaska waterfowl hunt. Likely to get a little wet so I needed the waterproof aspect.

With that said, I’d go with the specific waterfowl line, it’s going to have more water appropriate features, like the cuffs etc to keep water from running down your sleeve every time you pick your gun up to shoot. Alaska is layer, layer, layer https://www.sitkagear.com/products/boreal-aerolite-jacket/waterfowl-marshI’d specifically ask outfitter what to roll with that time of year.

I asked him. That’s how I came up with the Kuiu coat. I was looking at the waterfowl version, however I think I would use the blizzard version more in the future. That is why I landed on it over the waterfowl.

Get a goretex pro shell jacket and layer with different down puffy and fleece.

He will get wet and even the treated down isn't as good as synthetic at keeping you warm once you're wet.

I run a enlightened equipment synthetic quilt for that reason, but I haven’t been able to wet out any of my hydrophobic down puffy’s yet. Grant it Alaska is probably not where you want to experiment. Think both those Sitka jackets are combo down/synthetic. A lot of good companies make combo insulation jackets now
