How are they as a daily driver?
Room for all your chit going hunting or to the range?

Depends on how far you drive. You can see sunlight through every corner in it so if you have a short drive, all good. Highway drive? I’d rather ride in a train engine, it’d be quieter
Car guy. Serial entrepreneur. Terrible golfer.

They ride pretty going down a perfectly smooth road, but the minute you hit the rough stuff you'll feel every bump. My biggest peeve is the terrible gas mileage. Just remember though, they're the only vehicle that I know of with a drain hole in the floorboard. This can be a life saver if you get stuck in traffic.

Wranglers have never been built for luxury ride. I don’t understand why people expect a vehicle designed to be a dual purpose, road/off-road use, is going to get stellar MPG and long trip ride comfort. Ain’t gonna happen. I have been driving a JKU (4 door) as a daily driver since 2017. Has room for all the stuff I need and handles rush hour traffic as well as off-road hunting as well [censored] drives through the Colorado mountains as it was designed to do. My 2015 was a 2 door soft top. Was loud on the highway and not much room. My 2017 4 door is a hard top and is almost as quiet as any other vehicle and has all the room I need for hunting trips and filling feeders when needed.
Funny thing about getting older: Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to see through people's BS gets much better.

Buzz...they may be hard to get in and out of for you. Go test drive one.
I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Remember, I'm 70 and kinda broke down. My first question would be why the Rubicon? The basic JL or JLU is a more than capable 4x4 for most people. Because I want one is damn sure a good answer but what you gain in the Rubicon you lose in on road drivability and increased wind and road noise. With that said all the models are considerably quieter than before.

With the limited slip and brake assist there's not much need for lockers. If I was full time rock crawling absolutely. In four wheel high or low I'll always have 3 tires turning and the front brake assist kicks the power from wheel to wheel automatically. They took one just like mine all over Moab Utah and it took on the toughest trails.

I have a 2020 JLUR. I don't care to drive it far and on highways. That's not what it's for so it doesn't shine in those uses. It's nice to take the roof off. I don't remove the doors very much.
I won't comment on the stupid ducks and gay waving.
My botnet is bigger than yours.

They took one just like mine all over Moab Utah and it took on the toughest trails. I’ve been all over Moab, You can do 95% of Moab in an f250(unless it’s wet) , I simply believe the whole purpose of a 4x4 jeep is to be 4x4 not 2.5 x4. It’s that simple. I feel the same way about the Bronco. I would also agree 95% of jeep Owners don’t need a true 4x4 system but the wrangler platform is supposed to be the pinnacle of 4x4 vehicles there for it should be a true 4x4

I commute 150-160 miles 4 days a week in one.
It is a Jeep Wrangler - not a Cadillac. It rides like any vehicle with solid axles.
However - it is shaped like a shoe box with zero aerodynamics - it can get sporty on very windy days.
IMO based upon your posts this is NOT the vehicle for you.

From around 2002 to 2006 I owned a 1997 wrangler as my one and only vehicle. It was my daily driver, my lease driver, my ATV, and my tractor all in one. At the time, I was in my young 30's, and living in FL. I took the doors off in March, and did not put them back on until November, and I ripped all the carpet and plugs out the day I got the jeep home. Stored the carpet in the attic, and when I sold the jeep, it cam with brand new carpet. LOL. I did pack it for a 2 week hunting trip. Tent, coolers to bring meat back, rifle, bow, climbing stand, clothes, cooking gear, etc. I then drove From central FL to Northern OK (almost Kansas), then back to Dallas, then back to FL. Did this a few times. I had a minimal lift on it. 2" if I recall, and 32" mud tires, lockers and 411 gears. It was unrealistically capable. Ford water up to the seat cushions, crawl up rutted out roads that ATV's shyed away from. I would drive over or through literally anything. So yes, Jeeps are capable. Can you fit all your stuff in one? Technically, yes. Are you going to be confortable in doing all of the above? Hell, no.
