Is it a Dodge Ram, which is how I think of it, or just a Ram? Or, being owned by Fiat, is it a Fiat Ram, but they let “Fiat” be silent for obvious purposes? Maybe I just missed it, but I don’t see the word Dodge on the trucks. Or maybe it is, but I’m not looking close enough.

It’s just a Ram, but they’re all a part of the same company, as I understand it. I still call them Dodges.

Not all, but a lot of the owners are compensating for something. They made the conscious decision, many, many years ago (before Fiat) to pander to the lowest common denominator.

Heres why Ford sells the most trucks. At about 80-90 k they develop major repair issues. The shop says gonna cost 10 k to fix , why not trade it for a new one? Aww ok gimme another says the ford customer.

Not trying to start a squabble. Just wondered about the name. I’m sure they are fine trucks. Consumer Reports rated them highest on ride.

They split out from Dodge because fuel economy gets looked at by brand. At least that's the way I understood it

It’s white, but dirty ram would probably be most accurate.

It will always be a Dodge. They sell them at Dodge dealerships. You can change the name but that’s all they changed.

I like their HD diesel line. Their 1/2 ton lineup im indifferent about.

I tell ya what Fiat did good on. A nice interior.

When Dodge had Ram the interior was always pretty plain. My 2001 and 2008 were bested by Ford and Chevy on interiors. When Fiat got the truck, they gave the options of really nice interiors, something Ram trucks were missing for decades.

Mine 2016 a Laramie. Leather, power everything, really nice stereo, ect, ect.

I drove an ‘18 Laramie for the last year. It was a dang nice pickup. A lot better than the previous Dodges I’d been in.

In dodges defense they have always had two things going for them. Nice interiors with the most comfortable seats, and Cummins contract.

They sell them at the CDJR dealerships...Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram

A neighbor recently got a Ram 1500 TRX, which looks shockingly similar to the Raptor. No idea how it drives, but it's a pretty sweet looking truck. It's got a 6.2-liter supercharged V8 with 700 HP. I'm sure the MPG is horrible.
