I was looking for a decent little scope to put on a ruger 22mag and they let me look through a hawk 3x9x40 with an iluminated reticle...I very impressed with how crisp and clear it was...Ive never heard of this brand anyone had much experience with them?

I know that Hawke scopes are popular with crossbow shooters who want better glass then what was supplied by the crossbow’s manufacturer. Never owned one myself but know people that bought them and absolutely love them on their crossbow.

We've been a Hawke dealer for many years. Very good quality control, pricing and customer service. Their marketing could be much better to get more recognition as they do make a worthwhile line of optics. They offer a wide array of scopes priced from around $100 - $900.00. SFP & FFP options. Our pleasure to discuss options with you, 516-217-1000, if you have the time to give a call. Please speak with me or Neil. Thanks

I have a pair of their binoculars, and for the price I paid they are amazing, IMO. For your use, OP, I would trust the scope and see what you think.

I purchased a Hawke Endurance 2-7x32 in 2015 or 2016 to go on a 30-30. The IR was not visible in good daylight and I saw worse through it than the Fullfield II 2-7x35 that was on the 30-30. So I sent it back or I sold it, don’t remember which.
That is my only experience with Hawke scopes and with an example of one there is no way I’m going to say don’t buy one. The IR could have been defective and Hawke glass may not be compatible with my eyes-where as it could be for someone else’s. In addition it was at least six years ago and things morph quickly in the optics world.
Don’t roll those bloodshot eyes at me.

Hawke makes Vantage 4x12x40AO IR scope made for a 22 mag. I have one made for a 17 hmr. I shot out to 275 yards with it. The Vantage 4x12x40AO IR 17 hmr . Sight it in at 100 yards on 12 power with 17gr bullets. Or on 10 power with 20 gr. A young guy was shooting the 22 mag model on a 22 mag. He was shooting steel plates at 300 yards on u tube. The bcd works good on them. I need one for new 22 mag.

They are excellent for the price. Clear and rugged. In the airgun world, Hawke is one of if not the most trusted scope to put on a powerful spring piston air rifle.
Magnum spring piston guns are well know for destroying scopes, even “rugged” scopes. Whiplash recoil changes directions, they pull apart inside. Hawke scopes hold up.
I really like them.

I believe I'm rolling the ball on one of their 1-6 options for my new rifle. They are intriguing but I like the reticle a lot more than a comparably spec'd vortex in the same price point. My SCAR17 has eaten a Horus and Vortex over it's time. I'm hoping the air rifle history on these proves a positive for durability.

They didn't stand behind the warranty on mine. Bought it new and never could get it to hold a zero. I finely sent it in to Hawke and they would not honor the warranty claiming the tub was bent. I told them if the tube was bent it came to me that way as it was never dropped or mis-handled or abused. I guess the thought I was lying and only offered me a discount towards a new scope that I accepted. I was able to trade that piece of $hit for a Sightmark Wraith that I am very pleased with. I will never buy another Hawke product as they do not stand behind their warranty.

They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!

I have one on my .17 HMR and like it pretty good and no complaints at all.
I got it from a local guy here and he assured me if anything went wrong with it he/they would take care of me.
It's been two years ago now and it is still on.

I really like them. I had the same experience on a powerful springer (Break Barrel) air rifle. I don't remember the model. I got it mounted and sighted in as a package from Pyramid Air. I'm actually looking at one for my new AR-15
