Let me guess...the first thing you smoke when you get one of those is a tube steak? This is what I think of when I look at that apron.

Walton's makes a pretty nice one, I could see it being useful for processing during the winter time. But man I imagine it's pretty warm during the summer, but heck that is what beer if for, to help quit your feelings...mentally and physically!!

I considered a leather woodworking apron, mostly for torso protection if the table saw slung a wood chunk. Went with a heavy cotton apron instead. And I’m glad I did, from the comments on here. Leather would be too heavy and hot anyway, and I have no capri pants to wear with it.

I wore an apron for 26 years that I was a butcher. I wore white/plastic and cloth aprons. I actually preferred the cloth apron. I also had to wear a paper hat and tie like the one in this commercial back in the early 80`s.

I heard that the shipment has been delayed due to the majority of employees being out with the Monkeypox. There goes 2 of’em right there

I am still looking for the perfect apron, one with reinforced knee areas would be perfect.

Anybody that has ever spent time grinding steel will understand the need for a leather apron. I actually prefer the thinner ones from Harbor Freight along with the welding gloves that go up to the elbow.

Found this one. It is truly great quality, full grain leather. I will use it for the little wood working I do as well. Here is a pic we are having family over for Christmas and I will deep frying a Turkey and a 16lb mesquite smoked prime rib. I will be dressed for dinner (nice clothes) while cooking. Just missing the "reinforced knees"

I think it's very handsome, Shane. Dapper even.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

That looks like it will work well for the task. Also safer handling hot oil.
To be determined
