For me, I think it was Million Dollar Baby that Clint Eastwood acted in and directed. I just can’t watch it again.

Give you two and starred a very young Ricky Schroeder; The Champ with Jon Voight a boxer father to Schroeder, and The Earthling with William Holden taking in Ricky Schroeder after his parents tragically die in a freak RV camping accident in the outback of Australia. Both late 70s movies worth the watch.

I was just a kid when I saw this movie. Sad movie. Several others I won`t watch because of the sad ending. Only The Brave is a good movie till the ending.

How 'bout "darkest"? George C. Scott was in a movie, can't remember the name, where he goes into Mexico to try and rescue his daughter who's on track to be in a "snuff film." Now that's dark.
