My grandson wants to add a new stock to his Ruger 10/22. So far we have looked at the Adaptive Tactical Tac-Hammer RM4 and the ProMag AA556R Archangel Conversion Stock. Any experience with these and are there others he may be interested in?
Appreciate the input so far. Needed to say we are looking for more of a AR type of stock. Tactical?

I still have my Tapco T6 on from way back when, and still like it. I have been eyeballing the Bravo from KRG.

I too have a Tapco T6. it is great for the price as others that look similar "tacticool" are usually much pricier. Can't speak for the accuracy vs others but no complaints here.
I'm a dude who likes long barrels!

Is he looking to improve accuracy? Or change the look?

Looks like these are no longer manufactured. Would probably go with the Pro Mag first. Thanks for the information.

I have the Promag Archangel for the 10/22 (not the AR tactical model) that I like due to the adjustable cheek rest and butt. Not all are a perfect fit, mine took about 20 min. with a Dremel to get right but for the price point I thought it was OK.

I have one in an AR556 stock, if you get one, get the full rail version, I think the short rail looks goofy on mine

If you have stoopid money, the WOOX stocks look amazing.

Wow! Nice! The whole rifle "upgraded" will be less than one of these.

This is the KRG Bravo stock it works great. This is the one I'm thinking about upgrading to.

Over my setup not much, since I have the KIDD receiver with the rear bolt. But for a regular 10/22 without that it gives an extra point of contact to cinch down the rear of the action. Besides that I think a bit more length of pull.
I’ve actually already decided not to purchase that one. It’s just not that much of an upgrade for me. But for others it would be a great upgrade.

Check out Boyds. I have a friend that bought a wood-laminated stock for his 10/22 and it required zero inletting. Various color & stock options. Once you go thumbhole, you won't go back!
