I met him too. Very nice man who would go out of his way to help someone or share his knowledge. He is kind hearted and generous….gave several guns away….

He is an old man with lots of relevant life experiences and chose us to share them with us. I’m sure since his wife passed we were who he chose to spend his countless hours alone with…..

I have an Oxner rifle, it will be handed down and never sold, The way Bill wanted it to be! My nephew or possible future son will get it years from now. I can say I do wish I could’ve met him, but it never happened.

🤣 I’ve never met him, like I stated above. I do believe he was a great contributor to the forum at one time. I also believe he has gone down hill as many do, and all of us will at some time. He was bullied as he was starting his journey, and I understand why he wouldn’t want to be apart of this any longer, not the place for him anymore. No reason to keep picking on someone.

Bill did some very cool stuff and had some great contributions on upland bird hunting in his life. Me and Bill had some differences but as a man he got the right ride to be where he is.

I ride with SW. I've not really interacted with Bill all that much over the years, but I do wish I could have met him. I also wish that people were nicer to him. Heck, I wish everyone was nicer to each other. This world would be a much better place.

I liked old Bill and do not believe I ever gave him a hard time maybe a slight kid every Blue moon but nothing ever mean.
I certainly scratched my head many times at some of his responses the last couple of years.
To me he seemed like a cool old dude that was getting lonely and losing some of his marbles, glad he is with his daughter (Kathy I think?) that he adores so much..

I do know that he did not like to be called Mr. Bill
