This is the best one I have so far, although I mostly have resident does and very few lot of resident bucks (mostly yearlings). Seems healthy, though.

Are all of those "shooters" using your requirements?

No, one may be a management buck, one may be old enough at 5 to be a trophy and the rest appear to be to young yet.

I'm guessing the one at 11 o'clock could be the one old enough?

I do believe you are correct. We don't see as much bone that 1 of those deer have on our place with every buck there added together. Very impressive.

Have five yearling bucks coming to the backyard feeder that look to be 6 point or better but very young. Their mothers are trying to run them off, so no telling where they will end up.
As for where I hunt, we are seeing several with nubs. The last picture is of one that has messed up the right side.

Few recent pics from the new ranch nothing spectacular but lots of character and extra points are a common. Trait from what I’ve seen so far

Nice buck SapperTitan

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

I think it might be due in some small way to his efforts and knowledge… grin

I can totally agree on this, he spends way more time in the field than I do. I also believe it's also location and genetics along with a great management plan that has been in place for lots of years. Love seeing his pictures, they are the things dreams are made of.
