Recently I’ve been interested in the back stories of some highly motivated people so past month being reading and listening a lot. Interesting commonalities, but that’s a different discussion

Tim’s is very interesting, his ego comes out in the book but he is very good at pointing out what it has cost him, and why it cost him. Basically typical 80’s country kid, given a lot of freedom. Great read I put it well above Groggins and Hanes. I highly suggest it. It’s interesting and easy read.

Most interesting tidbits and point of this post is the very end and the Afghanistan withdrawal, we all know it’s was a [censored] show, but it’s unbelievable how many US citizens, our country basically told to figure it out, and how it was civilians leading the charge??? Also mention how they caught another countries Military ops on base trying to take US technology…

I’m curious if anyone else has any podcasts or books relating to the withdrawal? Just looking for more confirmation on events around withdrawal

Tim lives right here in the area. I followed his posts related to assisting folks get out of Afghanistan when the govt left them on their own. Definitely, would want him on my side when the SHTF. I'll have to get his book as it sounds like a good read based upon your comments.

Cam is not a great author and not the easiest listen on the audible side either. HIs book explains what makes him tick. He is more similar to goggins then Kennedy. Hat tip to him, he runs a marathon everyday, because he has to because day he wakes up and hits sleep in button he done for rest of his life. I can respect that. I’ll give cam credit he didn’t hide hunt costs or endorsement deals


Tim book is best of the three.

I’ll have to go listen to it. I just can’t comprehend we had to use civilian unpaid contractors… wild
