Today is the Laramie Brewfest. I'll be helping our friends at the Library pour today. https://laramiemainstreet.org/brewfestUsed o be a fun time, now it's a drunken festival of sorts but entertaining up to a point. I'll be too busy for pics, sorry guys but I'll try. There will be live bands and a nice shady park for the festivities, the Depot park near the UPRR tracks. I think they have about 30 brewers coming, lots of distributers not the actual brewers though. Hoping our old friend at Wind River Brewing in Pinedale shows up. We're in the middle of Jubilee Days, fun time around town with rodeos, street dances and a carnival for the kids. Summer in Wyoming has lots of small town things and festivals going on, brewfests all over the state. We'll be in Saratoga in Aug. for the Steinley Cup. Wish me luck, I'll not be drinking much at all today until after. Kind of fun to see the lower elevation folks get hammered in no time, lol. There will be puking by some.

Oh man summer in Wyoming sounds real inviting especially with our 105 real temp and heat index of 110. The festival sounds like fun and amusing, enjoy and Good Luck. Looks like there might be a few beer drinkers there.

Well I survived, lol. Poured beer for 6 1/2 hrs, too old for this I think now. Had a fun time, there were some decent bands and some roving entertainment. Only saw one guy puking, but his buds were consoling him. Great weather, not a cloud but a nice breeze to help with the heat. They had everything set up around the steam engine and snow plow display in the park.

They had 44 (?) brewers represented and just about all floated their kegs, Library took 2 and they were really light by 6 pm. All had at least 2 kegs and most had more, bottles and cans were also served into 8 oz little mugs. Spouse hung around and drank for free at Library's tent and made a food run for us. Friends were welcome to attend, kids too, no drinking without a wrist band and mug. 2500 was paid attendance I believe and many more were there.
Recovering by smoking a pork lion right now. A little hair of the dog later this afternoon, going to see how the bar faired yesterday after the fest, they'll have stories for sure. It was the big night downtown for Jubilee Days, street dance and concerts.

Cool event. I enjoyed a number of beers at Snake River Brewing recently.

Snake River has some nice brews. Aug. 20 Saratoga , Wy is the Steinley Cup Brewfest. It is the Wyoming State brewers cup and only Wyoming breweries will be there. Nice small town brewfest that is very family friendly. Saratoga is a neat little town, the brewfest in on an island in the Platte River. We'll be there again helping the Library and then bowhunting antelope the next morning. It might have 500 folks on a good year. Couple of distilleries usually show up too with samples. http://saratogaplatte.chambermaster.com/events/details/steinley-cup-microbrew-festival-11430

A lot of the gals there have been liberated from their bras, apparently.

A lot of the gals there have been liberated from their bras, apparently. Let's just say the spouse and Library brewer had a nice day watching the sites. Some were not so nice to see though, a few mature guys could use a manzier, the Bro according to Seinfeld. Laramie is a college town so scantily clad college girls are not uncommon. Let's just say it has been a cheeky summer so far, cutoffs are back in style.
