Right now I don’t have time to build a bench how I normally would. I am also in an apartment for the next 12 months till house is getting built. I do not want to wait a year to get back to reloading. I am looking at this one since my BIL has one in his garage and quality seems good but I don’t know how much leverage I could get on say a stuck case. If anyone has been in my position I’d appreciate your solutions. https://www.sevilleclassics.com/pro...AtBwhz1JMtGj0IzEFB4vvJNtCyRoCXFcQAvD_BwEFound these https://www.harborfreight.com/60-in-three-drawer-hardwood-workbench-58832.html?ccdenc=eyJjb2RlIjoiNDA3NDMyMTEiLCJza3UiOiI1ODgzMiIsImlzIjoiMTU5Ljk5MjAwMDAwMDAwMDAyIn0%3D&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=12145234740&campaignid=12145234740&utm_content=116463441826&adsetid=116463441826&product=58832&store=&gclid=CjwKCAjw_ISWBhBkEiwAdqxb9qrPaU6JOd1exmHM3eKuHANxRs5zl8o1QD5eK1VIkVoyShRGoeHgjhoCnrAQAvD_BwE https://workprotools.store/products...arage-office-home?variant=41120157302974

I have two of the Seville’s and they work great but I attached to wall. I also laid 1x8”s across the cross supports and have about 20,000 Bullets in boxes to keep it steady.

My E-Techs at work have Kroy-Tech work benches and they are very strong and would make a good reloading bench.

That’s the only thing that I am likely going to be disappointed with. for the time being attaching to the wall is a no go. That means I lose a whole bunch of leverage. Eventually, it will get attached to the wall, but my only thought is to weight the bench down by welding on some pegs to hold weight lifting plates. The 1x8 with my bullets would definitely add some weight and leverage.
I’ll have to check out kroy tech.

My advice: 1. Don't overthink this. 2. Don't overestimate the force needed to reload. 3. Get a used desk on Craiglist or similar. Reinforce if necessary. This is especially true since you're in an apartment and what sounds like a temporary situation. Years ago when I first got into reloading, I didn't have a ton of money to spend. So, I found a cheap used desk on Craigslist and reinforced the press area with a piece of 2"x"6" bolted down with four large lag bolts. I spent less than $50 on everything. Here's my setup: ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/07/full-11773-353407-thumbnail_img_1101.jpg) I've been using this reloading desk for 15 years now. I've loaded everything from .40 S&W pistol up to .458 Lott, and lots of stuff in between, including many large magnums. I've had to pull my share of bullets and a few stuck cases. Heck, I've even ripped the rims off of a couple of stuck cases. And this setup has never failed me or showed signs of weakening. Even if you don't go this route, those tables you've linked to should be strong enough. My only concern would be the lack of shelves/storage space. That's my 2 cents. Good luck with whatever route you take.

I bought a well build wood bench off craigslist for 1/4 what it would have cost to build.
Pass the gravy.

Here is the 6ft Seville just to show what is possible. I had always thought about turning a bench perpendicular to the wall so I could work from both sides and when I finally built a room I made it wide enough with that in mind. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/07/full-31762-353416-82d7e90b_d63e_4846_8ba4_05eab3dd232d.jpeg)

I have this one, bought it for multiple purposes, I have a 8" Wilton vise mounted on one end, I use it for building ARs mainly, but have used it for repairs to equipment or the tractor. It's heavy enough that I have not been able to get it to move even with a 24" pipe wrench trying to break loose a stubborn bolt. They make a 96" version for a few dollars more if you want the additional 2ft. I don't recall the weight, but I had to use a two wheeler to get it in the apartment when I originally bought it. I used a furniture dolly to get it out with the help of a friend. It's definitely not light by any means. It's not cheap, but it will be there ready to go for as long as you want. I have one of the original "work-mate" folding work benches with the two piece top surface that clamps things in the middle and has multiple holes for removable stops. I used it when I was in the military for reloading because I was always on the move. I retired in 1994 and still use that work-mate for my reloading. I mount my tools on pieces of 3/4" plywood with holes drilled to match the holes in the top when the two pieces are at their widest point. It has worked great all this time. When I need a little extra leverage for whatever reason, I just put my foot on the cross brace since I usually am standing or sitting on a stool. It only takes a few minutes to set-up/take down and folds up for easy storage.

Just as a portable setup when in an apartment I used a blacken decker work mate. Put the press on a piece foot square 3/4 inch plywood and C-clamped it to the bench. a bit small but it worked. folded up for easy storage

Thanks everyone for the ideas. I ended with that workpro. With 4th of July sale it came out to $250. I plan to do something very similar to dstroud and be able to work both sides when I have a reloading room again. Went with a 6’. My final plan is to build one where the top is 1.75” thick and has threaded inserts in a 1”x1” pattern so equipment can be securely mounted but have the flexibility to be reconfigured on the fly in minutes. When that’ll actually be build is anyones guess, but I’ve always thought it would be a really cool way to set up a bench.
