Wife got me this for Father’s Day, since I already have ton of M18 tools, chainsaw, hedge trimmer, drills, etc.

My question is. What do I do with it? Do I need to buy some attachments??? it don’t tighten on to something like my drills do.

See that lip at the bottom. Those longer ones snap right into that 1/4 hex wink

And they make drill bits with the hex shank too

Ok. Got it. I like the 40 piece set

Any brand work? Or only Milwaukee.

Highly suggest the craftsman set instead when they come back in stock

Brand does not matter. Just like a 3/8" drive a 1/4 hex quick change is compatible.

Slow your sauce, you missed the point. Something about a picture is worth a 1000 words. In this case those words are hex, socket, torque, etc

I am fine. Look at my first post? The fact this question was asked is slightly hilarious to be honest.

I do feel like less than a man for even asking. I’ve always used just standard drills with chucks.

My wife wanted me to ask another question about our sink. I told her I had to pace out my questions until tomorrow.

You will love that impact. You just need those longer shank 1/4 bits. It will not pull a tire off but they are handy.

Educate yourself with the torque settings too. Mine are 1-3 and I keep it on 1 till I need more so I don’t strip screws

Milwaukee typically wins head to head competitions with their bits.

Once you get a few attachments the drill will be used for drilling into steel and nothing else most likely

I use my M18 impact almost every day. One of my favorite bits is the 3/8" socket adapter.

I wouldn’t buy any cordless brand except Milwaukee…… Rigid would be my second choice if Milwaukee wasn’t an option.

Ricky, YouTube is your friend….. spend someone else’s money for testing.

I’ve got some old m12 stuff, bought the dewalt package 3 years ago when I needed more power. DeWalt had a better package for my needs. Use my impact, sawzall, and 3/8” impact wrench daily for work. Can’t say I have any complaints. Haven’t used the multi tool or angle grinder, only used the circular saw a few times.
I’ve broke bolts loose with mine that m18 guys I work with failed on. confused2

RollTide’s Man card revoked due to unmanly question asked in off topic

Fact!

Been using the 1/4 Impact for over 10 years. On my fourth brand now and it is Milwaukee FUEL. BAD TO THE BONE!!!

Roll-Tide, saying it doesn't tighten, you have the torque set wrong. Those things will twist hell and break chain. I have driven 3/16" self tappers into 1/4" flange I-beam. I only worry about the screw head breaking off, because the impact driver aint gonna give up. When we're building steel buildings you can always tell when someone put a screw into I-beam instead of purlin. Because the hammer and anvil of the driver is slower and louder, but it aint gonna quit.
