My 2017 green screen rxq30v thermal quit responding to the control buttons. Emailed Pulsar customer service over the weekend and had a reply Monday am at 8:20. Sent it in on Tuesday. Called Friday with a price to repair of $26. Received it back yesterday. A week and a half to repair a 5 year old scope. I know it's a low end old obsolete unit in todays market, but plenty good for my 50-80 yd setup as a spare. Not nearly as sharp as my Hogster35 vibe, but still serviceable for me after the $26 repair. Thanks Pulsar!

That's awesome. $26 is ridiculously cheap! Great feedback on Pulsar's after warranty service.

I am glad to hear they took care of you so well, inexpensively and quickly! Your scope may be low end but it is no more obsolete today as it was in 2017. The technology has barely changed in 5 years. All that matters is that if the scope is doing for you what you need it to do, then that is all the scope you need. Most of the folks we sold them to, back in the day, ended up not liking them and buying something else, except one guy. He needed a thermal to take care of predators and such in his barnyard, mostly to protect his chickens. He could not have been more happy. Like you, he was not shooting far with it worked out really well for him without spending a lot of money. It was his "barnyard thermal."

Same thing happened with my 2017 Pulsar. Ended up costing me $1700 to upgrade to a new scope because they had stopped producing the power switch.

Basically, on any electronic devices, you probably should not expect the manufacturer to keep parts beyond the time period of the warranty. If they do, that is just a bonus.

I was thinking about the OP’s stated cost of the repair, we all know that no business can stay afloat charging $ 26 bucks for bench time (diag, repair, test). So I’m thinking either a connection came loose inside - simple open and reconnect … Or Maybe the tech guy, out of the kindness of his heart, knew it was an easy fix and just charged the OP for parts … Either way , I was shocked to see the cost of repair

I too was surprised at the cost and even being repairable currently, but I accepted it!
