Have been debating on starting to carry and need some input from those who do. I'm looking pro's and con's on what kind of holster and where to carry that will help me decide on what holster to get.
First of all it will be for a Glock 43. Next thought is should it be leather or plastic. I would like to stay under $100 also. Do I need a holster with an extra clip pouch or not. Which is easier for concealment inside waistband or out. I mostly wear t-shirts in the summer and log sleeves in the winter like most folks do here in Texas. I like to carry my cell phone on my right side so I would like feed back on using a cross draw location or any other suggestions for location. Thanks in advance for any thoughts you care to share.

During summer inside waistband is easier to conceal. Kyle will be along shortly to tell you about appendix carry. I prefer the 4:30 carry personally, and all of my IWB holsters are kydex. The biggest problem you'll face is you are likely to have to try several different holsters to figure out which is the "right" one for you on comfort level.

I wear OWB and shirt untucked or a pocket gun. IWB sucks in my opinion. Always leather for me.

Tlew is right. You should get multiple holsters to try out and figure out what works best for you. For me, I carry inside the waistband at about 4:00. I also carry outside the waistband at 4:00 with a shirt untucked, and sometimes in a pocket holster. Occasionally, I will wear a tuckable inside the waistband holster if I have to go to a function where I must tuck my shirt in. All depends on what I am wearing. The two that I use the most are a Desantis Pro Stealth and an El Paso Tortilla holster. For pocket carry, I use a Desantis Nemesis. Tuckable, I use a sof-tuck. My wife likes JM4 Tactical.

My son only uses inside the waste plastic but I simply do not like them. I use leather outside for almost all my handguns. I have a couple plastic outside the waste that are pretty good as well. I think you have to try them and see what works for you.

OWB all year round, snap over belt holster for a Sig P365 SAS. Not cheap quality nor are they inexpensive. Buy once cry once. Turner Leatherworks

I use an inside-the-pocket sticky holster for my S&W 380 Bodyguard. That pistol has a not great factory trigger, but replacing it with the Santiago trigger fixed that little problem.

Look at JM4 Tactical IWB holsters it's held together with rare earth magnets EZ On-EZ Off. I don’t even know I'm wearing it. Yes it's all leather.

I tried a ton of them and most were pretty uncomfortable. Got to where I wasn’t carrying as much and that kinda defeats the purpose. Switched to a sticky holster and started pocket carrying a few years ago and haven’t looked back. It goes with me everywhere now and I don’t notice it.

My go to is a Kydex IWB. Urban Carry medium frame automatic , I think. But it fits a variety of weapons. I could carry a Glock 19 or compact 1911 or a mid frame 9mm, depending on my need and what I am wearing. That it is if I had something to put in it.
I like Sticky pocket holsters to. It is pretty good for pocket change.

I wear wranglers and tuck my shirt in everyday. Is there anyway to conceal carry this way? Buy jeans a few sizes bigger or what? I'm in decent shape and have never been able to comfortably conceal carry.

I put extended mag it’s not comfortable as mag bites me. I did recently change belts to a marsupial gear belt if I’m wearing fitted shorts Loose shorts I just use sticky holster belly band

I purchased the solid black sneaky pete with no lettering or identification. In 3 weeks of wearing it, I was asked one time what it was. I wear it on the golf course. It’s a lot more comfortable for me that any of the iWeb’s that I’ve tried. It just about as comfortable as open carry, even though it’s concealed

I’m a huge fan of appendix carry. I carry a Shadow Systems MR920 (same size as G19) with light, red dot, and extra mag in a side car holster and you’d never know it was there. Lately I’ve been leaving the extra mag at home and using a LAS Concealment AIWB holster. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/06/full-4932-352402-4507584a_43ac_4a45_865e_7bd99363eb21.jpeg)
