That bull in the first pic is a young bull. Too much is showing between the bosses of the horns. He will really be something in about 3 years.

You're most welcome. Most PHs know that a mature bull has bosses that nearly touch with just a sliver of skin between them. That bull has at least 2 inches of skin which means he isn't a mature bull. I also understand that there are no real free ranging buffalo in RSA outside of Kruger so these bulls are hunted on a put and take basis, just like Lion in RSA. If this was a free ranging buff in a place like Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Zambia or Botswana a PH would not allow him to be shot. He needs a few years to reach his full trophy potential and you know it. But I have no doubt that you will also have someone shoot him this year.

Dang, after all these years I never knew this, not in my wildest dreams would I have ever thought that. Seems like the only PH's that knows anything about Buffalo are the ones who studied at Tascosa High School and lives in Texas. Maybe the teachers ware from Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Zambia or Botswana
