Not any more, we used to play at my parents house. My brother and his wife played against our mom and dad. After Dad passed away, Mom and I played against them. I really miss it. When we went to Mom's, we would take separate vehicles so my wife and kids could go home as we would play 42 for many hours. The last time I played was at Band Camp at Beavers Bend State Park with some of the other chaperones.

Play occasionally with my in-laws. We have converted them mostly to playing 66 a card game similar to 42 we grew up playing with my parents and grandparents.

Played a lot of 42 with my parents and grandparents. But since they are gone I have not played in years.

We still enjoy this simple game with all the nuances it provides. We played yesterday. All three daughters have required their hubby's to learn the game. Two of them are catching on quickly.

I still play a few times a year. When we’d get together at my grandparents farm we’d play all day, with plenty of drinking and hollering. I asked my wife if she wanted to sit in and learn when we were still dating. She turned down the offer saying she thought 42 was too violent for her. That got a laugh.

Funny story...both my mother's parents were deaf. They used sign language to communicate. They were in town visiting when I was a kid and the neighbors would have them over in the evenings to play 42. The first night, my grand parents completely whooped the neighbors. When they knocked on the door the second night, the neighbor met them with a pair of mittens for each of them. He was convinced they were talking across the table. My grandad got a big kick out of it and beat them again that night too!

I learned to play when I was little and continued into the 80's. I have played a little since then but it has been a while. My Dad and one Uncle were very good at 42.

growing up, my parents had several groups of friends that played 42 weekly, progressive with multiple tables. It usually rotated between locations and were normally a covered dish type meal. When I stated dating my wife, her whole family played 42 and I was welcomed in since I was pretty decent already. We used to host my wife's family reunion each year at our house and there were also several hours of 42, 84 and moon. Most of her family is now gone, so the reunions are much smaller and less frequent, so we don't play very often any more.

When I get together with friends a game will usually break out. I keep a set of dominoes in my overnight/weekend bag.
Back in the '80s and '90s played a lot at Adair's
Have several sets of double sixes, a nice set of antique ivory double nines.

I love playing 42. They use to have a 42 championship back in the old days in Holland, it was like a state tourney. But not many people know how to play these days, or even heard of it.
