When I visited the Bracken Bat Cave, I was told an interesting story about them. The only male bats in the Bracken cave are the babies born during the year. There are no adult male bats there. The females leave in the fall with the young and travel to Mexico for the winter. The cave directors story was that the females, party, get drunk, get pregnant and return in the spring to Bracken Cave. No Males return.
A clear conscience is often the sign of a fuzzy memory.

Male bats do not participate in the rearing of the young, so live in smaller bachelor groups elsewhere. But it is not correct that none return from wintering in Mexico. It is true the breeding occurs there. The Bat 'pups' are actually being born this month (June). The Bracken Bat Cave is basically a large maternity ward for Mexican Free Tail bats....that is true enough. Incredible number of bats there. Literally millions and millions.

Sounds like the male bats have things pretty well figured out.

Maybe the male bat should start putting the toylate seat down.

Sounds like the male bats have things pretty well figured out. Hard to argue that. Go to Mexico, hook up with the ladies, breed, go back home....hang out with the guys at your own pad until next year.
