Take some pics and list her for sale. Tell them in pasture and must be roped. A cowboy will buy her catch her and haul her off and you get some extra cash.

She’ll still taste good when she is ground up. We had a dairy when I was young and whenever the cows got too old, they disappeared and we had a freezer full of beef. Mostly ground meat.

Wild animals can NEVER be tamed just trained.

Cubes will train it that you/human in truck equals tasty treats and she will become more relaxed with people.

If you want something to love on, get a dog.

Let her roam, keep the grass trimmed. Fun to watch. I'm sure having a few more head won't hurt.

I got several pair of cowboy boots you can boil which will taste better than your cow.

I was on the other end of the sale barn exchange with 3x 450 lb heifers I bought for a friend's (city boy with lots of money) place to keep his ag exemption on a new ranch he bought after he got a call from the extension agent.

I just picked them up at the sale barn, used 6 cattle panels to make a pen to release them into and feed for a few days to get settled to the new place. When opened the trailer gate and they came out on fire, jumped the back panel like a deer and into a cedar break a couple hundred yards away. I called a friend that leased out various other places to drop off a few tame cows and a bull on the same place after a couple weeks searching for them without success. After a couple of more weeks, he took his horse out to bust brush to see if he could find them, nothing. After about 2 months, I put signs out in the post office, local gas station, etc. and a few more weeks passed, maybe a month, I get a call from a rancher about 5-6 miles away asking me to describe, which I did. He said he had been feeding them with his other cattle for a month or so when he saw my sign in the post office. Asked what I wanted to do with them. I said take them to the sale barn next time he goes and we could split whatever they brought. I got roughly my money back and no more rogue cattle to mess with.

just a for what it's worth ... if she is used to the place, dump a few gentle cows out for her to get used to and hopefully she will start herding with them ... maybe get her tame or at least tame enough to get her loaded.

My advice is to stay away from that heifer and keep your children away from her to..
an animal like that can seriously hurt people.

This. Used cowboy's horseback a few times when I had my ranchero. Boy's pulled them right into trailer.
Hauled to sale barn. Made a buck or two.

X3.....A good cowboy with a good horse can work wonders.

Or, For what it is worth.....Honey Buns! A new land owner couple I know (city people) bought some cows to go on their new land and got some problem (mean) cows in the bunch. The woman got them tamed down by feeding them honey buns.

I run a fair amount of cattle and have a couple horses I rope off of. I don’t have any crazy azz cows on my place. One crazy can ruin a day when you are working them. Have also been called to rope and catch cattle by many people that buy sale barn cattle, turn them out and then they get out of the pasture.

They are all about half stupid and shouldn’t own cattle anyway. They either let them do it again and pay me again, or offer to sell them to me or haul them to the sale barn for them.

Bottom line is , pay someone to catch her and haul her off. You have no money in her. There is no processor that will take a walk in if you shoot her just for the burger so that is bad advice. They are all booked up.

Odds are against her gentling down. Take the advice for what you paid for it.

Any stock that’s wild, dangerous, or goes through/over fences get a ride to the sale barn or shot….life’s too short to put up with trouble…. 2cents

Damn. I never seen a cow that did not settle down with added cattle into the mix. Ranch cubes do wonders. Use it (cow / cattle) to keep your ag exempt. A good cowboy in my area would charge you $400.00 minimum to rope and haul off.

They are raised for a purpose, and it’s not for pets.

Push comes to shove I'll put one between her eye and base of the ear this fall or winter and process her myself. I did a cow elk a few years back. No way I'm paying someone to catch and haul off!

Its a bacterial infection, some brangus will pop false in summer when real excited. Brucellosis Causes abortion basically, if you have one test positive it just has to go to a kill facility, meaning processor/canner etc, it will be all painted up when it goes through the ring so there is no mistaking

If she where in TX and you are not 100% where she came from, you need to cya by following astray protocols by reporting her to sheriff etc, reason being chances are she either has a metal burc tag in her ear and/or brand. That Burc tag could of been reported stolen, lost etc. If so you can show you did your duties. 99.9% she just couldn’t be caught some body said he’ll with it, but just incase CYA. With fuel prices as high as they are it’s not going to be cheap to have her caught and hauled but you might make a few bucks if she isnt claimed.

If she is that wild, when she hits ring she will go as a canner instead of a replacement
