If I do not have the dies for your cartridge I will get them. •Verify all the screws are tight and barrel is free-floated. Correct any problems found. •Clean the barrel •Find the rifling via modified brass •Seat as close to the rifling as possible, maintaining bullet diameter depth in the mouth. Verify feeding from the magazine •Appropriate primer selected for the cartridge •Appropriate temperature stable powder for the cartridge •Barrel is fouled in with exactly the same components that will be used for testing. Fouling at 100 yards. •Load testing is done at 200 to 500 yards depending on cartridge and bullet •Once the proper recipe is found the scope is zeroed with that recipe •If your scope is capable, or if we are using my scope on your rifle, I will hit steel out to 800 yards and document the DOPE. •All load testing data is kept on file •Stock bedding and pillar service •Scope mounting and zeroing •Complete rifle builds on your action or purchased actions 800 Yard Steel Range Precision Rifle Instruction Memberships and Classes Available

Curious, on Weatherby cartridges where freebore can be more than one caliber, you really can't find the rifling on the lighter bullets which are invariably short. For instance, on the .257 WMAG the freebore is .378. Do you find a powder load the appears to work and vary seating depth in .10 increments to try to find a sweet spot? I am starting to load for a .224 Weatherby. The freebore is only .162 but due to the slow twist rate 1:14 you are not going to be able to load anything much past a 55-60 grain flat base bullet. Can't load them long because they will not have enough neck tension to be held in the case. Lifetime NRA Member
