Hi there,

1.Have always enjoyed hunting forums, I was watching YouTube and seen a lot of videos from guys in Texas, so just googled Texas hunting forums and here I am.

2. Seems fairly straight forward to post pics, just followed my nose.

3. Australia varies greatly, I’m in North Queensland. Well away from the big cities, Brisbane the capital city of Queensland is over 800 miles away from where I live. I haven’t been to Texas so can’t really compare the two. Most of our industry is either mining or cattle. Our cattle stations (ranches) mostly are 100000 acres plus, mainly gather cattle on motorbikes and helicopters.
I hunt with a team of 1-4 dogs. I don’t have bay dogs and catch dogs. Most people I have hunted with are the same in that we only have dogs that catch. My style of hunting is Ute finding, I drive the large cattle stations around swamps and creeks, the dogs stand in the back of the Ute wind scenting and jump off when they scent pigs. I mainly like to hunt at night, mainly because it’s not as hot for the dogs.

Kangaroos are very common where I am, I see 10-15 everyday driving to work. On the open downs country to the west of where I am they can be in plague numbers. Not uncommon to see mobs of over 100. They are real pests in drought, competing with cattle for any grass.

What are abarijanese, I don’t know what that is sorry?

Aboriginal. Yes plenty of aboriginal people here, I have many friends who are aboriginal.

Caught 5 more on the weekend, no real big boars, this one was the best of them about 70kg

THF'ers.. you might want to check their forum out. Interesting to see hunting though their eyes. Plus you can cuss and they have a very much used middle finger emoji.

It’s only getting worse here. Just last week a friend of mine had his guns siezed. About 2 months ago he got into a wrestle at a bar, and had to pay a public nuisance fine. No court case, no conviction, no priors, and they used the public nuisance fine as justification for taking his guns. He can fight to get them back, and he is going to, but going to cost him time and money. Absolute [censored] show.

That last one looks like it never passed up anything edible.
