Hey Mad Dog... If you like forums I assume you are a member on www.australianhunting.net? I've been on that forum for years BSing with the guys about Texas hunting (I'm TexasDave on that site). Thanks for coming over here and sharing a bit.

THF'ers.. you might want to check their forum out. Interesting to see hunting though their eyes. Plus you can cuss and they have a very much used middle finger emoji.

welcome mate. I've worked with some cool Aussie's in the oil & gas field. My old boss's son is a roo shooter there and I was getting all set up to go hunting with him when covid hit and ruined all of those plans.
My old boss (Aussie as hell) loves to travel with his boat and catch barramundie's in certain rivers there, but his favorite type of lures were stupid expensive for him to get and hard to find....so I hooked him up with a bunch from the states at a way cheaper price, hope he's been catching them....

I have a friend that is a hard core pig dogger that I used to hunt with, he's spent some time hunting pigs in Australia too and loved it. For many years he has been breeding pig dogs that fall in line with the way you guys hunt. The whole "let one out" philosophy, I had 5 of his dogs. No bay dogs or catch dogs, they are finder/holders and are quiet/fast/strong. It's amazing watching those hairy dogs work. A good hairy dog is a freakin warrior on pigs, as I'm sure you know.

Thanks for coming aboard.

Welcome from Central Texas.
Thank you for sharing with us!
A trip to Australia was always on my bucket list but probably won't happen.

Got this rank boar about 4 weeks ago. Caught him 800m away in some nasty country. He gave my dog a real working over and cost me $1500 at the vet. Dogs still recovering, but will be fins in a few more weeks.

'Aborigine' I think is what you were after. Referring to the indigenous people, though that term is not generally used in Australia because it carries certain racist connotations from the colonial past. Not unlike our Native Americans being called in the past 'Indians'.

Aboriginal people would be more correct and accepted. When not used with with a capital 'A' could be used to describe any indigenous people anywhere since it simply means (original inhabitants).

Welcome to the forum, and thanks for the pictures and information. Very interesting. We have family in Melbourne, but they don't hunt.

Haven’t posted for a while now, these 3 boars are from different hunts from the end of last year. It’s very wet here at the moment, making it difficult to get around.
