How often do you guys mail a package and have the post office mail it to your address? Third time this year for me. I clearly label addresses to and from and put them in the right place on the small flat rate boxes. Sort of pisses me off!

Never heard of that happening. I don't even bother shipping w/ USPS anymore. More often than not, UPS is cheaper than USPS and it almost always will arrive faster.

I don’t have issues here but one of my buddies has nightmares with his local postal service. They blame the post Office Depot above them but it always shows delivered. He finally tracked it down to his actual delivery person. They were either political or thieves. Nothing from midway ever arrived but showed delivered. The local post office made it right.

I know I know, not related but worth looking into, it may be an individual.

Another example of a government failure. Need to shut down that pile of garbage. Privatize it all.

Happened a lot when I worked in S Dallas. We'd mail out our A/P checks and sometimes they were delivered back to us. PO claimed the envelopes were the problem. They were Quick Books envelopes used by thousands of customers.

We got where an employee would do our mailings at another PO on her way home.

Happened one time from FedEx, shipped a shotgun and 2 days later came home from work and it was sitting on my porch.

They should just discontinue package service. There is no private entity that can do what they do for first class mail. The reliability, speed, and cost is simply not possible without a monopoly. I will sing the praises of letter service, and I mail hundreds per week, but I'll never ship a package with them.

The post office for this zip is very failure prone
Delivery person for the last couple of decades
( regardless of gender) stays on the cellphone
earpiece doodad the whole time they're walking
the route. You can hear them all the way down the
skreet. Not to mention the packages that come
up MIA. I had one ( long story short) that was
tracked here and I opened a case with the postal
investigators and they ultimately blew it off
instead of reprimanding anybody or charging
anybody with a theft
It's a shame there's no alternative method of
shipping close around here. Too many criminals.
That's why all the grocery stores and shopping
centers close up and move away
