One of the most popular sizes of sockets. I keep losing mine and buying more. I get the cheap Pittsburgh brand.

610 revolver very accurate with the red dot and have killed pigs with this gun. One long slide RIA and its a decent shooter. Kimber super jagare is the latest added and still working up a load for this gun. Kimber stainless target is a shooter with reloads and gets carried a lot buming around the lease and traveling. CMMG banshee is just plain fun. AA 9 is good powderif you load your own. Mild to wild on power and velocity its not a 44 mag but wouldn't hesitate to take a deer with the 610 in bow hunting range. If i had to carry one all the timeit would probably a glock just because they work.

Have a Glock G40 MOS with a Holosun sight and a Ruger Super Redhawk with a Burris 2-7 scope. You could say I am a 10mm fan.

Have a Springfield XDM OSP love it. It has a Vortex Venom (had one laying around plan to upgrade at some point) it feels like you're cheating while shooting it. IMO it's less snappy than a .40 and a heck of a lot of fun to shoot.

Glock 20 for me. It ain't pretty, but Glock gets it done dependably. I put a streamlight on it, which has the fringe benefit of taming some of the recoil.

I have a G20 and a CMMG Banshee. A whole lot of pluses and really only one minus for me -- it's LOUD. Lots of time roaming around when you see a pig and don't have ear pro on. You'll hear the ringing for the rest of the day

I’ve got a couple 40’s and a 20 and don’t have any complaints. I’m not a pistol guru by any means but they go pew pew and have never failed to shoot.

I'm a huge 10mm fan. I have a G40, 2 G20's, and 2 G29's. One of the reasons I load and offer 10mm ammo is because of the lack of quality 10mm on the market. Most 10mm ammo is either watered down 40 cal or a P+ round too hot for Glock's or other factory pistols. I've carried 10mm as a hunting side arm for years. I have dispatched multiple pigs with a 10mm. And the G40 is a very accurate pistol. It is a very stout round and lots of fun to shoot.

I have a Glock 20 Gen 4 and a S&W M&P 2.0. I like both although the Smith fits my girly hands better. It's hard to beat the ruggedness of the Glock 20 though. Both my pistols are pig and deer guns.

How do you guys like the AR pistol versions in 10mm? I've almost bought one to play with. I just keep leaning to the 300 blk out if it's an AR-15 platform.

Para Elite Longslide Hunter. Para was bought out by Remington and they continued the gun under the Remington name as the Longslide Hunter. Not sure the new management is still doing this though. Fully supported chamber so you can load it up but then it ejects the brass 15 ft! Its very accurate. I have loaded 135 gr up to 180 grain JHP bullets. The 135 Noslers are blazing fast out of the 6 inch barrel but not as consistent as the 155 or 180 grain bullets. I hand load and found Accurate #7 was just the right burn rate at the levels I load at. I played with #9 with the 180's and its good but I found I liked the #7 better. Blue dot is a popular powder with the 10MM crowd who like to load hot. A #7 is in the same burn rate range. I have not tried the 200 grain bullets.
I have been eying the Sig P220 10MM Hunter with the 5 inch long barrel ( as compared to the full size at 4.4 inches ). I have the P220 legion in .45 and it just shoots!
Does anybody know if Glock went to a fully supported chamber on the newer models? I seem to recall stories about hot 40 and 10 mm rounds bulging cases. Not Glock bashing, I had a 17L at one time and it shot well.

Love the 10mm. I have one of each, G20, G29, and G40. My EDC is the G29 with a +2 mag extension and I carry a full size G20 magazine held by a NeoMag in my pocket for backup (a total of 28 rounds). Underwood ammunition is my personal preference using a 200gr jacket hollow point at 1250 fps. When I'm in my vehicle I use the X-Grip adapter as a primary with the G29 and when I move from the vehicle to carry I just swap the magazines. Backpacking or hiking the G29 is always with me. In the house its my G20 with a Streamlight TRL-8A G (green laser and a 500 lumen light). The G40 is good for hunting, hammering on the range, or anytime you really want to dot the "I".

Not Glock bashing, I had a 17L at one time and it shot well. No they haven't, but I put a KKM barrel in mine and shoot hot loads just fine. Underwood ammunition is my personal preference using a 200gr jacket hollow point at 1250 fps. Same -- I only use Underwood ammo but usually their Xtreme Hunter round which is running a 150gr round at 1425 fps. Just a testament to that KKM barrel

I have a XDM, 4.5 discontinued and Colt Delta Elite with a Leupold red dot installed.
The XDM 4.5 I in 10mm is discontinued by Springfield, which I do not understand.
I was at the range a couple of months ago and the range master was shocked I was shooting my delta elite. I asked him why, that's what they are made for..he said they are mostly safe queens..I laughed.
Both loaded with Buffalo Bore.

A factory rep at Lone Wolf said it is rated for +P+ and is fully supported. Underwood said any of their ammo is safe in the Lone Wolf barrels. That's good because I've shot a lot of hot ammo through mine.

Yeah, I’m in to 10mm. Magnum power in a semi auto pistol is most rewarding. The Sig 220 is heavy with a purpose. Low recoil and excellent shooter. 1911s aren’t shabby. My Dan Kodiak is the pride of all my other 1911s regardless of caliber. TRP is tight as all get out. Was forced to buy a Lee tamper crimp as the Dan and TRP have super tight barrels. Easier to crimp ammo that work the throat IMO. Great thread!

I'll add a vote for Rock Island-- mine shot incredibly well esp with Chad's ammo (used on whitetail with big thumbs up). Added a Trijicon SRO and it was like cheating at 75 yards shooting the hostage taker 'popper' target (smaller than head size)
Have a G29 that I'm taking to Alaska this fall and it is shockingly accurate given the small size of the pistol and the stout 10mm rounds.

Looks like Sig just released the P320 in 10mm: https://www.sigsauer.com/p320-xten.html I think I'd still rather go with a 220 or Glock 40 for hunting purposes but interesting to see more 10mm options popping up like this.

Any of you guys have a 10mm? what brand and your thoughts on one. Looking to buy. My thoughts are buy a 40 s&w if you want a better "do all" gun and buy a revolver in something like 44 mag if you want a better hunting gun Well, that’s not what he asked, but I’d love to hear you explain that comment.

He did ask what brand and "thoughts" so I gave my thoughts 40 can push a 180 to 1150 out of a 4 inch gun and 1225 out of a 5 inch gun. It can also push a 155 to 1300 out of a 4 inch and ~1350 out of a 5 inch gun, so power is not lacking. It also fits in a small frame gun, which most people prefer because of the grip size and it makes it touch easier to carry. General shooting ammo is cheaper. The high end ammo wads pigs and such up. You can even get it in a small single stack gun, but I don't really recommend shooting the high end stuff in anything smaller that a Glock 23 size gun. If you need more power that the 40 will supply, better to go with a revolver and just bypass the 10, cause compared to even something smallish like a 44, the 10 is a weak sister IMO

He asked about a 10mm. At any rate, it outperforms a .40, even with your hot loads.

He asked about a 10mm. At any rate, it outperforms a .40, even with your hot loads. Well, he asked about 10 mm and thoughts so there's that. And yes 10 still outperforms 40 but the margins are so small they don't really offset the advantages of just using a 40. Not to mention I don't think you can get a 10 with a 3 inch barrel, though I could be mistaken on that. And a 40 will push 180s at 1050 in a 3 inch barrel. And none of that makes 40 or 10 anything other than a weak sister compared to a decent revolver. If people don't want thoughts they need to not ask for them

Glock 29: 88 yards coyote longest shot, 2 whitetail doe, 7-8 hogs Glock 20: elk cow, sh oryx, 4 whitetail, 1 turkey, 3 coyotes, 1 ram, 1 aoudad, 10-12 hogs Kimber 1911: Black buck, 3-4 hogs
Mostly use Federal Fusion 180... Pick the handgun platform that you shoot best. But no matter what, the 10 mm ammo can be found in forms appropriate for a wide range of critters. Recoil is mild and it is neither big or heavy. IMO, it's resurgence is because, while seldom the perfect sidearm, it does a good job while being easy to carry. The G40 with KKM barrel will push a 200 gr hardcast bullet near 1,300 fps (on my chrono) and a 155 XLT factory load near 1,600 fps (my wimp load only does 1,400 fps). My favorite hog load uses a 180gr XLT at 1,300 fps. You can make it do about anything you want except turn it into a 44 mag.

It seems like 10mm is making a comeback like never before. It is such a great cartridge for reloading as well. The P220 is absolutely outstanding in 10mm. I have never shot the G20 or XDM, so no comments on those. I have a friend in Missouri with an RIA 10mm. He moved from a GP100 to the 10mm for his woods sidearm. He likes it. I haven't seen him since he got it. With the announcement of the P320 X10, my choice would be easy.

Don't try this at home kids!
For the folks in the "a .40 can do almost anything a 10 can do".... respectfully disagree. But interesting note; you can't shoot a 10 out of a 40 but the reverse in not true as I witnessed a gentleman on the range shooting .40 out of his 10MM. Seems that with a strong enough extractor it can hold the shell against the breech face well enough that the firing pin will set the round off. When queried he said he had shot hundreds this way. I am not going to try it. I don't recommend it but apparently it's not as uncommon as you would think.

^^ It is all based on the extractor holding the round in place. But, yes it is certainly doable, but it is something I will never do. You will have to clean the chamber out when going back to 10mm though.

Don't try this at home kids! 40 out of a 10 has been going on forever. Just like people shoot 45 Auto out of a 460 Roland, and you can shoot 9 mm out of a 38 super comp sometimes. I wouldn't do that for carry ammo, but for shooting at the range there's no real issue to it. You can even shoot 357 sig out of a 10 mm. I don't know where the bullets going to go but it will work. or I guess I should say it will fire, You will probably not have enough chamber pressure to cycle the gun LOL.

I bought a RIA 1911 double stack 10mm because I thought it was cool. Was pleasantly surprised with its' performance. Much too heavy to carry, but keep it in the console. Besides....who wouldn't want 16 rounds of 10mm in their hands?
