I was working on one of my hog traps when I got the feeling that I was not alone. I looked around, and right at the brush line, 3 little piggies were checking me out! I had my Ruger 38SPL all loaded up with HPs so I picked out one of them and let him share the joy of an HP early in the afternoon. Perfect eating size, but my freezers are full and no body wants to do the work of butchering, so I dragged him out to the boneyard. That's some excellent shooting!  I worked on pig traps today too. There's 5 to 7 "orphans," I'm trying to put out of their anguish, if I can just catch the little bastards.

That's some excellent shooting! I worked on pig traps today too. There's 5 to 7 "orphans," I'm trying to put out of their anguish, if I can just catch the little bastards. They are fast and very active, but these 3 stood still just long enough for me to knock one down. I would have never hit one that was running! In my hands, a revolver and/or a pistol is primarily a noise maker and a heavy object to throw at whatever is giving me some trouble.

A couple of folks have complimented my shooting. Let me make it clear that the range was about 20 yards, and I used the trap as a rest. I ain't no pistolero by any measure!! I could have just as well missed him or winged him!
