I love a good Mexican breakfast but it is so hard to find a good place that opens by 8 am on Sunday morning. Never really cared for Manny's which is real close to the house but they started serving breakfast at 8 am. So the wife and I gave it a shot and it was pretty darn good The wifes Mine

Two weeks later Manny's Uptown strikes again and it was dayum good again! Today I had the Migas with Chorizo added on and it was another winner, tasted the Migas without Chorizo meat and it was still real good as is. Wife had a Bacon Omellete and again she loved it also.

Well señor Barkley, it ain't Rosa's. The old adage you get what you pay for certainly applies here. Running some early errands about 3 weeks ago and had a hankering for a Mexican breakfast and it was right across from where I was. Might have been a total of 6 people in the place, not bad, just not good.

Cash only. and it looks Dayum good, lets go this morning. Got in the truck with good intentions of going there but ended up at our favorite place (Manny's) by the house.. It wasn't any good at all

We were in San Antonio most of last week for the SCTP State Tournament (sporting clays, trap, skeet, etc)... Has a chance to hit La Gloria in the Pearl district.. it was absolutely delicious... wait staff was perfect.. I know its a local chain, but I think La Gloria might be the best Mexican food in San Antonio.. https://chefjohnnyhernandez.com/la-gloria-pearl/ We also hit Tiago's Cabo Grille while we were in town.. theyre also excellent.. best elote Ive ever had anywhere... https://www.tiagoscabogrille.com/

Went to 2Nd Swing in The Colony off Josey Lane/Main St around noon to have a golf club worked on. had not had lunch yet so I asked the worker's where is a good home cooking café around? They both said no clue, one asked if I liked Mexican food? Me;sí, señor, so this Gringo took off to Emelias. Nice semi hole in the wall, food was very good and affordable. When I got back to 2Nd Swing, thanked the young man for the lunch tip, he said next time get the taco's, they ar the best!! These Beef Enchiladas were very good, the refried beans were wonderful.

Stub, looks tasty and I love Tex Mex. Maybe I'm getting old, but I'm just so tired of the generic filler refried beans and tasteless rice. I fully comprehend that they are cheap and that's what keeps Tex Mex prices lower, but there are better options out there, esp. the bland rice.

The rice and beans are the best of anyplace I've ever been.

Fajita house in Crowley was amazing when I was down for Christmas in December. Fajita house was great again in June. So was Mi Familia in Granbury (first time eating in the new building), and another place in fort worth was good too. I can't remember the name but it's got multiple locations and Enchilada in the name.

The wife and I with a couple of friends went to Mesero on Beltline Rd. Dallas last night, it was very good food, nice restaurant with a patio view of Prestonwood golf course. If you want to take some one special out for dinner, it is a very nice place.. Had a couple of the house frozen Margaritas, very good also. Side note; Man there was a lot of serious 30-50 year old women talent wearing shorts, wife busted me twice checking it out Since we were with another couple my wife frowns on me taking a lot of food pics. picture of the building is a stock photo, Their chips and salsa were good but in Phoo Phoo serving dish's. I had the #4 combo, Verdes (Chicken) enchilada, brisket taco, mesero slaw, arroz verde, it also had rice and Black beans. It was very good!!

Stub, that looks very pleasing to the eye, "how many forks out of 5 would you rate the taste, 4?" Also, give us an idea on costs, $$$$ per Plato, please, thanks!

My # 4 combo plate was $14.95. They have a lot of locations around the metroplex. https://www.mesero.net/Here is a menu link with all of the pricing. https://www.mesero.net/menu

Went to Manny's Uptown this morning and tried the Omelette instead of my usual Stevens platter. Had them substitute Chorizo instead of Bacon It was way good.

Went to Aldaco's in SA and had the enchilada plate and it was was great. My favorite enchilada's are at Herbert's but these were a close second. Be careful if you order the top shelf margarita's as they have a kick to them. It also has a pretty nice outside view. https://www.aldacosrestaurants.com/

Wife and I met the kiddos at the Arboretum in Dallas for the Pumpkin Festival, it was a beautiful night and good time with the kiddos. Afterwards we drove about 400 yards to eat at The Smoky Rose, oh man the Shrimp Tacos were delicious, wife enjoyed her Cheeseburger.
