Spent a lot of yesterday cleaning out and rearranging garage. There was an old 4 drawer chifforobes that back in the 1980’s I stored reloading and hunting stuff in. I hadn’t used any of that stuff or that piece of furniture in 30 years so it was time to get rid of it.
Found all kinds of old brass and misc stuff but two that caught my attention.
One was a partial box of my old 270 Winchester” turkey “ load or that’s what I called it. Still had data on the box.

The next one really brought back a memory I had forgotten. My dad left a box of ammo with a note scribbled in pencil on the seat of my old Willis Jeep saying he had gone back to camp. I would stay in the stand until it was pitch black and he got cold and walked back. My dad is 92 and can’t hunt anymore but I plan to take that box of Winchester 270’s to him.

that's neat

I collect old ammo, cartons, boxes ... friend gave me a bunch
some dating back to 40s or earlier
8mm, 12/10 g, 30s, 22 s/L, 30-30 etc ...

Just enjoyed looking at the faded torn boxes and sticker prices on them

I have an old Win 38-40. I also have some ancient ammo. I bought this stuff about 40 or so years ago, went out and shot a deer and retired it.
