Hello All, I have a Shoveler I killed 5 years ago that has been wrapped up in the freezer since then. I am wanting to see about mounting it, but don't know if I have had it too long to make a good mount.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Take it to the taxidermist you plan on using and let him look at it.

I put his head under his wing and wrapped with paper towels then put in a ziploc.

Should be mountable. We get plenty that have been the freezer that long or longer and seldomly they aren't mountable

It's best to have your taxidermist evaluate it but it sounds like it should be no problem. Be sure to post it up
